Fast Friends:Max Sets December Release Date forFriendsGame Show
Die-hardFriendsfans are about to have their knowledge tested — with no apartment wager necessary.
Maxannounced on Thursday thatFast Friends,its upcomingFriendsgame show, will premiere Thursday, Dec. 19. The four installments will roll out weekly.
Fast Friendswill test participants withFriends-themed trivia, puzzles and games, with one team winning the title of UltimateFriendsFan. It was filmed in October at New York City’s interactiveFriendsExperience location, allowing contestants to see the show’s iconic sets and re-live their favorite show moments while racing for the top prize. Comedian and actressWhitney Cummings(Whitney, Undateable) has been tapped to host.
“As a longtime fan ofFriends,I am beyond thrilled to host the first-ever game show,” Cummings previously said in a statement. “After 30 years, the fandom surrounding this beloved series only continues to grow and now I have the great pleasure of awarding the ultimate fans with bragging rights for life.”
All 10 seasons ofFriendsare currently available to stream on Max. The sitcom’s very first episode aired on Sept. 22, 1994;get in on TVLine’s 30th anniversary-themed debateabout whichFriendscharacter is actually thebestfriend. (Plus,why isn’tFriendsspinoffJoeystreaming anywhere?)
