Popular WWE Champion and actor John Cena has announced his retirement from in-ring competitions from 2025. John Cena announced his retirement during a surprise appearance at the ‘Money in the Bank’ event, which was conducted in Toronto.

His news of retirement wasn’t received well with his fans, who chanted “No! No! No!”, when he began to speak. John Cena made an appearance in the ring carrying a towel with an altered version of his most famous catchphrase, ‘My Time Is Now’, but now read as ‘The Last Time Is Now’. The wordings on his shirt read, ‘John Cena Farewell Tour’.

Cena said that his retirement wouldn’t be a sudden one. He said he would be competing until 2025, where he would compete in the 2025 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and then at the WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium.

John Cena made his WWE debut in 2002 and maintained remarkable rivalries against some of the big names in the industry like The Rock, CM Punk, Triple H, and Randy Orton.

Apart from wrestling, Cena has starred in films like Fast X, The Suicide Squad, and Marine, among others.
