Okay - first - yes it is written by a Christian Pastor - so some may not find this book as useful as I have. I've been an un-churched Christian for decades... I learned in this book that I was really an orphan. If you do read it as a self-help book you will see that many of the techniques Pastor Warren suggest are also suggested by secular motivational speakers/authors. This book will connect you to the vine. I have been challenged and given tools to improve my life/Christian walk. But I do hear those who are not Christians and understand their concerns - this book will build your Christ driven purpose. In a book store it would be shelved in the Religion Section under Christian life and Spiritual growth.
