EXCELLENT- Math is more fun with learning games! This Multiplication Math War Game Cards pack includes 52 game cards, 1 Answer Card, and 1 Parent Card with rules and game ideas. More than simple multiplication flash cards, our Math War Game Cards is a fun and competitive way to help grade 3, grade 4, and grade 5 children practice their basic multiplication facts. Your child and a friend can play together, each flipping over cards and solving them. The player with the highest card value wins both cards. This kind of enjoyable reinforcement learning is perfect as both a school aid, or as a great addition to your kids homeschool curriculum. Numbers on the cards are written in bold, block style on thick, glossy cardstock, and the cards have rounded corners for easy sorting.

KIDS FLASH CARDS- Kids and parents who use our flashcards for practice testing are using one of the most effective learning techniques available. A hundred years of research shows practice testing is highly likely to boost retention. Learning skills through gameplay is an excellent strategy for many reasons. Our language and math flash cards for kids are fun and motivating, and also tend to help students deepen their understanding and reasoning by making learning seem like a game. A sense of play can encourage kids to explore and experiment with concepts more freely and can reduce the stress of viewing schoolwork as nothing more than problems.

PREPARATION- Let us help you prepare your young children for the next grade level with our workbooks, flashcards, card games, early reading books, and online learning program – Anywhere Teacher. Keep kids "classroom ready" with these great supplemental learning tools and more!

AWARD WINNING- School Zone content has won The Parents’ Choice Foundation Award, Tillywig Toy Awards, Brainchild Award, Family Choice Award, Mom's Choice Awards Honoring Excellence, Gold Star Toy Scholastic Parent and Child Award and many more.

OUR STORY- More than 40 years ago, long-time educators James Hoffman, Ed.D., and his wife Joan Hoffman, M.A., began a retail supply outlet for teachers, then soon identified a need for at-home learning materials to help parents support and supplement their children’s classroom instruction. School Zone Publishing fast emerged as the market leader in workbooks and flashcards for preschoolers through sixth graders.

School Zone remains family-owned, focused on excellence, responsive to customers, alert to emerging technology, and committed to the community. Reading Has Lifelong Benefits

A love of reading has been proven to have far-reaching benefits for children, emotionally and academically. And children who enjoy reading become confident readers and read more often.

Kids Love Technology

School Zone’s digital content supports children’s learning goals by enhancing problem-solving and critical thinking, as well as reinforcing skills through multisensory activities. It also improves language skills, increases motivation to stay on task, and stimulates curiosity and imagination.

Not Just for Fun

When kids play games together, they learn a healthy sense of competition and experience the joy of winning and empathy for losing. Along the way, they learn collaboration, cooperation, and problem-solving. Creative play stimulates imagination and nurtures emotional well-being.

Review

This was a wonderful instrument in helping my grandaughter study her multiplication table while playing a game at the same time. Thank You. I do recommend this game very much. The cards are nice size for whatever size hands your children have. Big numbers and cute fish on them. Makes it pleasant to learn. And the price is perfect!! This product arrived on time as they said they would!!! --Amazon

This is a fun game. Students learn as they play. It is beneficial for them to learn their multiplication facts in order to move through the game quickly so they are self motivated to memorize their multiplication tables. Works well as a station during small group time. Also would be good at home if student has someone to play it with. --Amazon

My students are learning their multiplication tables, and playing this game makes them want to learn them as fast as they can so that can play this game even faster. --Amazon

They also have visual cues, such as a color-coded skills focus listed at the bottom of each page to help guide targeted work.

With research-based content, designed by educators and delivered across multiple learning platforms, School Zone connects with kids “where they are.” Workbooks, flash cards, and online learning apps—all are crafted through a child’s eyes, while integrating parent/teacher standards of precision and accountability. Many workbooks have perforated pages to take along as individual worksheets for learning anywhere, anytime. The workbooks are also recyclable, largely made in the U.S., and printed using soy-based ink--friendly for customers and the environment. These are just a few ways School Zone packs value—and the company’s values—into everything they offer. My daughter was required to learn her multiplication facts at home but she hates homework. Playing this game over and over really solidified the facts she needed!

For the price, this is an excellent learning tool. What better way to teach your child multiplication than through a fun and challenging game. Absolutely brilliant! I purchased this item for my twin boys (aged six). The twins are quite familiar with the game of War, so they caught on to the rules of this game right away. They LOVED playing against each other. My younger kids (aged 3 and 5) even joined in. Soon I had all four kids learning their multiplication tables. Its even fun for adults!

The quality of the cards is quite nice - Medium cardstock. Might not be a bad idea to laminate them, especially the card with the answers. Multiplication problems are printed on one side. The other side has a fishy background. The cards are also sized a bit larger than your average playing cards. I thought this was the perfect size for children to hold.

The only downside I could think of is that the multiplication problems seems to only go up to 9. Other than that, it is a really fun game that will teach your kid(s) multiplication.

I play these with my 7 year old who is preparing to enter the 3rd grade. It's a simple game, these are basically like math flashcards without the answer on the back. Here's how we play it: I initially picked out the lower-numbered cards and worked up to the harder ones. I deal us both 9 cards and then we count and flip them over. He has to calculate the problems on both cards and figure out who "wins." My son is autistic, and I'm using this to teach him multiplication rather than rote memorize.

Great for review!

I use these cards to engage elementary school children (after school tutoring) in learning multiplication. I modified the game of war by allowing the child to "win" up to 2 cards per each play. The child 1st earns a card if he or she can determine the answers on my card and their card (I tell them to analyze the cards) and then if they have the winning card they get the 2nd card. If I have the highest card and they correctly determine the answers on each card, then I get a card and they get a card. If the child has a losing card and does not get the answers right on both cards, then I both cards. I put the cards aside that they missed and quiz them on it at the end of the game. The person with the most cards win (yes, it does favor the child:-)

If the kid is pretty good with their tables, then add speed to it (e.g. they have to blurt out the answers to both cards in 5 seconds). I will be doing a challenge tournament soon with the children.

Also, great price on the cards. I saw other flash cards going for over $20 on Amazon.

I work with multiple 3rd graders and know how important it is to memorize the multiplication table. It builds a foundation and strengthens skills for all the mathematical equations that follow. Fun games like this help reluctant learners move past the hesitancy and learn while they play.
