I have owned so many different vacuums in my search for the "right" one. Like Goldilocks with the bed? Things just don't feel right. Dont get me wrong, the Shark brand is a good one, better than the pet Dyson, the super Hoover, most all brands have been here. Shark is the best I have found. I finally decided on which model would be right for me, and my household. I did research, & for the price point this seemed to be the best bet. But there is/was another model that was WAY more $$$ than this and honestly? Very similar within many equal comparisons. This has good suction, but it is not quite as I thought it would be. The ability to take the canister off the frame for stairs/drapes is nice? Efficient in many ways, but lacking the "za za zoo" I was sure I would have. I very much appreciate a cleaning tool! The better the abilities? The happier I am! In the first fifteen of use with a new item, I know. I knew this was not really for me in five minutes. But it is NOT due to inadequate outcomes in performance by this Shark? My mistake in identifying which model had what features. The feature most mistaken in my choice is the other would not allow any type of hair to become all tangled up underneath? While this model allows the hair to wrap around the beater brush.
I thought this model had the fragrance pod? My mistake as it does not.
The ability to fully execute under furniture is what I would describe as an "almost"? But removing the canister from the frame does allow a full flow, just unable without removing from base. Where I am concentrating on the half empty of the half full I have been handed. I apologize
I saved for this, and not being all I had confused with another new model? Just a small let down. But the premium model I so wanted is just too much $$$ at this time, so I will be okay with having a "fine" vacuum, when I really wanted "wow". Petty I know.
If you are considering this model? I will tell you this, if you have all the pets, all the little & big ones in/out of your home as I do? And the additional fact I quite possibly have enough HAIR from humans as well as pets for me to combine into yarn!. Lol. If this is also present in your home? I really think you would be better advised to go with the model that does not allow that hair issue you end up having to cut away.
However? If you do NOT have the extra as I do, including high traffic daily? And maybe just a two adult household with stairs & want to do the highest portion of your curtains occasionally, plus some hard flooring instead of full carpet? I believe you will be very happy with this Shark. It has good abilities, cleaning higher up is easy with the canister removal feature. A pet brush is provided, as well a crevice tool. It IS great going from carpet to hardwood without missing a beat. The noise I referred to is just a personal issue, it most likely would not be anything for other people. It doesn't take up space, and the cord is long enough to fully clean a large LR/dining room to kitchen without redoing to another electric outlet.
With no pets (I have many) the addition of the fragrance pod will most likely not be thought of as a necessity. Again, I messed up as made the mistake in thinking this had that, as with dogs, cats, children of all sizes & smells? I feel I would have benefited from. But it's too late in my choice now. I will recommend the entire Shark brand, as I feel MUCH better in performance than the "others" aforementioned.
Possibly, the Shark gentleman that appears on my TV at the oddest hours and originally attracted my interest in his brand of floor cleaning machines? He will see my review and realize my longing for the new Stratos model is not involving disappointment within all this model offers? Understanding it is sincerely related to what I misunderstood in usage and what would be best suited to my needs? Contacting me in a friendly way and offer to switch out models to the new premium Stratos after we go to brunch! Lol... Nah, my liking to Goldilocks contains no Prince Charming, just hairy bears I have to vacuum after. So know this is a very efficient vacuum, not anything incorrect with it, or the results it provides!
