I first purchased these back in 2020 and it was my first “bulk” purchase of garbage bags in my life. I’d always purchase small batches of the cheapest kind whenever needed. Even in 2020, I thought the price point of garbage bags was ridiculous. After all, they are plastic…. bags……🙄Anyway, compared to what I was used to buying, these bags were AWESOME! They were white with a dark gray liner inside them which made them super strong. I had 2 cats at the time (now I have 3) and a ton of dirty litter which resulted in VERY heavy bags. I didn’t experience so much as one rip, spill or mess in months. (The box surprisingly lasted me around 6 months)When it came time to purchase again, things had changed quite a bit. There was no longer a dark gray inner layer to the bag. I thought I had ordered the wrong kind. I even went to the store and bought another box. Upon further inspection, I realized that the brand had decidedly cut production cost by using less plastic while increasing the price.Now to be fair, the newer bags aren’t awful. They serve their purpose and I still haven’t had a messy tear with them, but my level of confidence in them is definitely lacking compared to what it used to be. I would still give them between 3-4 stars because I still haven’t had to clean anything up as a result from using them. Unfortunately with inflation being what it it, it seems like nearly every company has increased cost and reduced quality.
