Convenient to Shinjuku train station. Many restaurants close to the hotel and good shops in the general area. My double room was very small, but clean and functional. Very nice and helpful staff. Godzilla theme in lobby and souvenirs were nice for fans of Godzilla.

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!
Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Center near the waterfront, and savor the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.
Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.
For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Outdoor markets sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.
Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.
Mixed couple, I am British my wife is Japanese. My first time back in over 20 years, my wife’s in over 10 years. Much busier than when we were last here. Trains and subway always crowded. Tourist sites very busy even though it wasn’t a Japan holiday. Many many Chinese and Korean visitors.
Didn’t get to all popular places as Tokyo one of several places we visited and on one of the days in Tokyo it rained all day.
People were as you would expect extremely courteous and helpful.
Subway and trains request that no-one uses their phones for calls and everyone seems to respect this. Still felt much safer at night than London or other cities around the world.

A lovely vibrant city.
A lovely vibrant city. Not as crowded or expensive as we had been led to believe. People friendly. More English spoken and on signs. Very clean - hardly any litter - and although there is a lot of traffic, as in any major city, the air quality is good and the cars actually give way to the pedestrians!
Using the Metro enables you to visit all the sights.

We booked a private full-day tour, over 9 hours, since we had only one day in Tokyo. We visited the Imperial Palace, the Samari Statue across from the palace, experienced the Skytree Tower, a Buddhist Temple, we had a sushi lunch at the Fish Market, a Shinto Shrine, walked Takeshita Street. We participated in Shibuya Crossing where 2,000,000 people cross the street every day, Ginza Street where you find upscale shopping, and our last stop, Tokyo Tower which symbolizes Tokyo after WWII.

I enjoyed the variety of streets scape, parks, good transport options. There were many different options what to do, from temples and museums to just observing street life and enjoying the parks. I really enjoyed Yoyogi Park with magnificent trees. The setting of Meiji Temple is very nice and worth visiting.
For a solo traveler, there are tiny izakayas and yakitori places, where you feel comfortable enough on your own as well as convenience stores with healthy meal options and many pleasant cafes.
People were very helpful and nice when asked for directions or translations. Announcements at train stations were clear as well as displayed information. For a person that speaks just a few Japanese words, it was quite easy to get around.

Amazing city and people.
Amazing city and people. Fantastic food and cleaner than Disney which is saying something. Loved the vibrant atmosphere and the friendliness of the people. No need to worry about the language as everything was in English as well. Would highly recommend a trip. Even more so if you are into gaming as a visit to the Nintendo, Campcom and Pokemon shops were well worth it.

Very clean with no smoking in the streets.
Very clean with no smoking in the streets. In general the people may no speak English but they are very helpful. The city is very big and it would take weeks to visit all the attractions. Note that it is very much a cash based economy credit/debit cards are rarely used.
The location is superb with many metro lines in 10-15minutes max proximity (there are closer ones as well), so it was a great place to have as a base to explore Tokyo, without the huge crouds of Shinjuku or Shibuya (other well connected places) - also you can take the metro all the way to Haneda (can confirm we took it) and Narita (there were signs for it) airports.
We stayed at other Sotetsu Fresa hotels and they have pretty much the same quality across Japan and we were satisfied with them.
Would definitly stay here again!
Rooms were large for Tokyo hotels and had a bathtub (we stayed in the South Wing), and housekeeping was good. It has two lines next to it including the less crowded Tochomae station on the Oedo line. Better than Shinjuku. There’s a decent Komeda’s cafe opposite the back entrance where we ate at twice and more eateries are about 5 minutes’ walk away. We liked that the limo bus stopped right at the hotel and that tour agencies picked up guests at the hotel too.
Great location, great staff, comfy rooms and clean facilities. The lunch menu at Bellustar restaurant was awesome, simply delicious. The hotel is on Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, where you also have Bandai Namco Tokyo, an awesome food hall with live music and great food, as well as bars and restaurants. Close to the Shinjuku station as well. All around, I would definitely visit again. Thanks for everything!
Location was great, overlooking the park and 20 minutes into Shinjuku, and handy for shibuya and all the places a tourist wants to visit.
Hotel was cool, nice facilities, good rooms and nice restaurant - can't recommend enough for the price.
Beautiful hotel in the centre of Shinjuku.
We were on an all glass windows room and it was amazing.
The bathroom overlooking Tokyo was incredible!
Service staff very attentive.
We had a Parkroyal suite.
