Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.
Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighborhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.
To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?
From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the center of town, Booking.com will help you explore all that Bangkok has to offer.

Bangkok is a great place to visit for 2 days, then leave.
Bangkok is a great place to visit for 2 days, then leave. I'm a fan of large cities but Bangkok is not on my list of favorite places to visit. The traffic and general chaos make it an annoying place to visit. I describe it as a cross between NYC, Tokyo, and total chaos. I see it as a great place to meet for business, or for directed events, then leave. There are much better, more engaging places to spend time in Thailand.

Vibrant street life; known for ornate shrines and opulent grand palace; sacred temples and many other cultural landmarks and tourist attractions. Love the Pad Thai- it’s Bangkok’s comfort food amongst a host of many other yummy food. The big smiles and genuine friendliness both at the hotel and outside give you a relatively easy to get around and communicate with the local Thai. Weather was good during our trip to Bangkok. An affordable trip with many happy memories to bring home.

Spent a total of 4 nights on 2 separate occasions in Bangkok. Loved it. Stayed at the end of Koh San Road so always plenty to see and good choice of food and drinks.
If you are approached by a local telling you that sights are closed for praying etc. DO NOT take any notice of them and carry on with your plans. They will be very helpful and get you a cheap tuk tuk but they take you to a pier from where boat trips leave and you are pressured onto going on the boat trip. Me and my daughter did this, and whilst the boat trip was lovely it was not worth the money. Also at the floating market we were 1 minute delayed at the pier and the boat had gone leaving us stranded - we did not know where we were. However, we were very lucky that a man booking taxis helped us to get in touch with the boat company who then wanted another 1000 baht to come and get us. We declined the offer and got a Grab (Uber) to where we needed to go. THIS IS A SCAM. Apart from this loved Bangkok, the people and the food.

Bangkok is worthwhile for many reasons.
Bangkok is worthwhile for many reasons. Cultural-historically, nature, the (friendly) people, the food, weather, affordable prices, etc.
We stayed a week and were really able to explore both the city and do two tours by bus outside into Thailand. Transportation is easy and I love how clean and quite well maintained many things are.
We'd love to stay longer to really get more immersed in the day-to-day life, enjoy nature more, cultural events, arts, etc. It certainly is a country to want to go back to.
A tip: check whether there are ceremonial reasons or things of that kind why the Great Palace might be closed half a day (it closed at 12 noon, while it normally closes at 4 pm). We missed it twice due to this reason.

There are many sides to Bangkok, a stop over allows you to choose multiple Asian / International destinations or treat as a destination in itself.
Includes for culture, food, shopping and much more. For a capital it is reasonably priced.
Phenominal ambiance and entertainment with beautifully decorated rooms to match. Staff super helpful and efficient and made everything a pleause. Design and decor fantastic. Khun Yosh and his counterpart at the front dest were so kind. We will most definately visit again and am rather sad that we never swapped the high priced hotels on Sukumwit for Shanghai Mansion years ago. This is our new go to place in Bangkok!
Okay, so I did enjoy this hotel, however, I stayed here towards the end of my holidays and found that the quality of the hotel differed significantly from the standard that I had come to expect of hotels in Bangkok and Thailand in general. The good points were the outstanding roof side pool, the gym and the hospitality.
Also it was well located in terms of things to do, markets, Siam Paragon etc etc.
This hotel is the best we have been in Bangkok for the price. I've been in 4 hotels there, all of them more expensive. It is in the center and the room was excellent. Big with good views and even kitchen. The quality is stunning for the price. Breakfast was optional.
hotel well priced and situated quite close to Nana BTS making it convenient for travel to and from airport and also around Bangkok.
pretty close to nightlife and shopping.
staff were friendly and pleasant, room basic but good value for price.
This hotel is very ok, very shady, has many big trees, rooms are ok, there is an escalator connected to the BTS station. Traveling anywhere is very convenient. Better than many hotels in Bangkok at similar prices.
