Breakfast was cold, long queues - waited 15 minutes to get a hot drink and the toasters took so long I ended up having bread, not toast, broken coffee machine. I think you need to re- think the size or location of the food servery. It is far too small for the size of the crowd. My money would have been better spent finding a local cafe.

A thoroughly liveable city, Melbourne has a buzzy vibe and an Aussie sense of fun. There’s always something going on, and one of its many festivals is Moomba – Australia’s largest free arts festival. Well worth a visit are the National Gallery of Victoria and the Melbourne Aquarium, where you can walk through a clear tunnel as sharks swim over your head.
The city’s most recognizable landmark is Flinders Street Station, whose yellow and green façade matches the color of the historic Melbourne trams that still run around the world’s longest tram network. Keep an eye out for the street art as you travel.
Shopping in Melbourne is fantastic. Queen Victoria Market is the largest open-air market south of the Equator, while the La Trobe Street shopping center has over 300 stores. For food, don’t miss Little Italy - the Carlton area.
South of the Yarra River is St Kilda, home to the best beach and Albert Park, where the F1 Australian Grand Prix is held. However, this isn't the city’s only sports heritage. It’s also the home of Aussie Rules soccer and the MCG, a must-see for cricket fans.
Booking has a range of Melbourne accommodations from hotels to hostels and motels, some near Melbourne Airport.

I managed to see 3 marvellous exhibitions (including "Banksy - Without Limits" ), all within walking or tram distance, within 3 days as well as shopping at a couple of retail outlets that Melbourne is famous for. Wonderful meal at Pepe's (Italian) on Exhibition St. Staying near Southern Cross station made everything pretty accessible, too.

Melbourne is a walkable city with lots of attractions - many free and some with a minimal entry fee. Highlights for me were ACMI at Fed Square, the Museum After Dark, St Kilda Beach and the Espy Hotel, Fitzroy Gardens, The Comedy Theatre and Chinatown. I love that the trams are free in the city and cheap if you have to travel outwards. I would live here if my family wanted to move:)
The coffee and food aren't bad either...

With family in NSW, TAS and East Gippsland, Melbourne is a great location for us to all meet and spend some time together. Winter is a great opportunity to visit a Museum, the lights at the Botanical Gardens, see a show and of course grab a bargain at the sales. TICK, TICK AND TICK.

I love the National Gallery, library, museum and the Live Theatre available. The trains are great for travelling.
I'm concerned about the number of people sleeping on the street, Im sure something can be done about this issue if the government set their mind to it.
Most of them had signs about needing warm bedding and a roof over their head for the night. If countries have money to fight wars and go into space travel they can find money and brains to solve this appalling situation which is pitiful to watch, a shame on our nation and deplorably lazy and selfish not to have been fixed.
It makes Australia appear like no one cares enough about a problem that is quite solvable. We are not an intelligent country if we don't solve this problem. These people on the street need more help and all the research, ruminating, procrastinating, ignoring, blaming, and continued apathy on the part of the government will keep the street looking like a slum and I'm sure Australia can do better. All these people are entitled to some kind of pension as there are multiple kinds available from the Australian Government and should not be reduced to begging for a few gold coins and the occasional note money.
Whilst I was on the trains I noticed numerous abandoned buildings, warehouses etc. If the Australian government can give Ukraine $250,000,000 which they did recently to fight a war they could buy a building, refurbish it,staff it and provide security, every day a few people could have a bed and food.
I no longer believe the problem is due to insufficient money. Its all due to poor management and an appalling lack of compassion of the part of the people who have the power to rectify this problem.
The location is perfect. Situated in the heart of the CBD. Tram stop out at the front door which makes it easy to get around the city. The rooms are quiet generous in size. Blossom’s Roof top bar make delicious pizza’s which go down well with a cocktail and the staff are very helpful. We travel to Melbourne every year to watch footy and have stayed at a lot of different hotels. There is lots of walking involved to get to them. I think we have found the perfect location. This is our second stay here and I know we will return again.
The hotel is very nicely designed, bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel tv in the room also had free movies available without the need for streaming platforms. Location was ok- 14 minute walk from Skybus terminal in the city that connects travellers to Melbourne airport. Something to note: the hotel is on the outskirts of the central busy CBD area (approx 30-40min walk or 15 Min uber).
The location was great. It was close to the Queen Victoria Market as well as Flagstaff station so it was very easy to transport to places in Melbourne. You can easily get to Docklands, CBD and anywhere near to the city. The park view and night view was beautiful as well.
Close Proximity to the CBD and Trams easy to get anywhere we needed, plus a short walk, drive or tram to get to Food / Docklands / Southbank / Melbourne Central
