Sydney is a great city to visit with lots to see and do.
Sydney is a great city to visit with lots to see and do. Bondi Junction is a good location but there are others that are just as good. I would not recommend the Meriton as a good place to stay at the moment.

My visit was to get away. Rest and meet up with friends. Given it was my visit in quite a number of years I wasn’t interested in going to far.
Perhaps next time I may prefer doing some catch up or visit other areas

Coming from Dubai where its heat, towers and sand, it was lovely to be in a modern, clean city that was full of nature and greenery. The ability to walk anywhere freely was refreshing as Dubai favours cars.
Food was awesome, people were nice, plenty of things to do and places to go.
Be prepared its not the cheapest, and thats from someone who lives in Dubai!

Sydney is an expensive and unfriendly city with poor transport options. It has a lovely harbour but depressing and featureless suburbs. The motorcar rules. Trips to the airport are very expensive using the trains since they attract a surcharge for the airport stations…but it is the only real option if one wishes tp leave Sydney. There’s a good view from the aircraft as one flys out.

The ease of getting around with our central point being the Meriton at Bondi Junction. Public transport to and from the airport, to the city & beaches was very easy. As always the harbour is beautiful and great to pop over to Manly or Watson's Bay or the Zoo etc. The only low point for us was that we were freezing coming from a lovely temperature on the Gold Coast.

Sydney is a wonderful city.
Sydney is a wonderful city. Come here and imagine a life in Australia.
The food is wonderful. The wine is wonderful. Aussies are extremely hospitable and proud of their beautiful country.
It is a long trip from anywhere else in the world, but you will not regret it!
Our 3 bedroom apartment really was an oasis on the water. The accommodations were excellent. Beautiful view. Modern appliances. Wifi. TV Apps. Everything was not-notch. Shopping, food court, and parking onsite. 2-minute walk to the ferry landing and to public transportation to Olympic Park. Our check-in process went smoothly with personal walk-through and explanation of appliances, security, and onsite amenities. Of the ten apartments and hotels we had on this vacation, this one was by far the best!
My second time visiting and it’s one of my favourite Sydney hotels to stay in. From amazing staff, greeted by the concierges, to the fun staff at Dean and Nancy to the cleaners. The environment is definitely inviting and the facilities are of high luxury standard. The sleek, modern interior reminds me of New York. A wonderful city escape or a Sydney staycation. Right across from Wynyard station and the tram line easy access around the CBD.
DO NOT BOOK. This hotel doesn't exist. On arrival to the address we found there was no hotel, we asked local neighbours which had never heard of it. Phoned the contact number which wasn't answered. I then have not been refunded by booking even after I ended up having to sleep in my car on Christmas day.
Well, close to the airport which is not a problem for me, as I didn't have an early morning flight. Parking is cheaper than other hotels. They charge 20AUD, while others are charging 40AUD that was why I chose Travelodge in the last minute, but I used the free on street parking.
