The UK's 2nd largest city, Birmingham is one of its top cultural centers. Well-known for its M6 Spaghetti Junction interchange, it's also a surprisingly green city with lots of open spaces.
Most city center hotels in Birmingham are near New Street Station. To the east is the futuristic architecture of the new Bull Ring shopping center, and behind that is Digbeth Bus Station. To the west is Victoria Square, home of the town hall and a German Christmas Market.
The Mailbox is one of the newest additions to the Birmingham shopping scene, and behind it is one of the canals converging on the Gas Street Basin. By one canal are the ICC (International Convention Center) and the NIA (National Indoor Arena), both venues that host major events.
Just across the street is Brindleyplace, a canal-front complex of restaurants, bars and hotels near Broad Street – the main nightlife area. It is popular with students at nearby Birmingham University, whose clock tower is modeled on the one in Siena. Just south in Bournville is Cadbury World, and there are several hotels on Hagley Road to the north, which are available on Booking.
The city is also known for sports – Aston Villa and Birmingham City are the top soccer clubs, while Edgbaston Cricket Ground hosts international matches. Other Birmingham attractions include Hockley’s Jewellery Quarter and the NEC arena by Birmingham International Airport.

Great shops, Hippodrome theatre is fabulous, recommend staying just out of the centre in Brindley Place. Possible to walk out or cycle along the canal system to some beautiful spots such as Winterbourne House.
Travelled with a friend who had never been to Birmingham and was really impressed - totally changed her view of the city.

the apartment it self was ok true to its pictures, but the lobby area was dirty, carpets were blackened and it smelt. The code to the entrance did not work, Birmingham itself is a nice place but the location of the apartment is awful and run down with a lot of build work going on. so it was not a good view. If i knew the look of the location outside the building I would have booked somewhere else.

Too crowded, a lot of rubbish, noisy, lack of cultural buildings/architecture. During entire day me and my family could see around happy people or even one smile of locals. And it was a weekend day… rapid contrast with Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Bristol. And no parks in the city centre, only grass around Churches, where you have a picnic being surrounded with old graves…
Bad choose for women clothes, sales everywhere, but sh*t looks. But you can buy men suits on good prices

I stayed just a night there.
I stayed just a night there. But the customer service was poor. I think they just extort money from customers without giving the right information.
So my experience wasn't great and I won't recommend or go back there in future.
I was very impressed with our stay here I must say! The room was a good size, had all the facilities we needed, was clean and modern. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast had a good selection of choices. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would stay in this hotel again if in Birmingham as a short walk from New Street Station and the city centre.
The hotel was clean, so comfortable and the staff were so lovely! the grounds in which they are also were amazing and with the beautiful weddings going on too, really made it such a beautiful place to stay. the parking was great and the location to get to the city centre and Cadbury world was great. we will stay here again next time we visit Birmingham.
Very friendly helpful staff, especially Joan, always so cheerful. Very clean and comfortable room, and checked daily. Good buffet breakfast. Hotel has excellent parking, but also in a great location if you want to leave the car and use the bus to go into Birmingham city centre
The riverside walk is lovely and a great shortcut to the city centre. We left the car at the hotel and went for food and drinks. The taxi back was about £6. Perfect for a short stay in Birmingham.
The coffee bar is lovely, modern design and great staff.
