Christopher Conrad Write outside the box. The last thing the world needs is ANOTHER book like the one you just read.
Christopher Conrad Having an outlet for expressing that can get out the specific words in your head that MUST COME OUT!
Christopher Conrad My most recent book "And I Color" is a coloring book of mandalas with really inspiring color-related quotes that is really calming and soothing. I got the idea from my last book "Quotos", but wanted to come up with something similar that was drawn rather than photographed.
Christopher Conrad Life always gives me enough inspiration to write, but if I ever need inspiration I listen to music with no words (classical, binaural beats, etc) and let my thoughts roam. Author Austin Kleon has a book called "Keep Going" that was given to me as a gift by a very good friend of mine and it has proved to be VERY inspirational to me with regard to being creative. I take walks in nature and bike a lot also, those things give my mind time to focus on things I'm really feeling and want to put think time into.;)
Christopher Conrad Music, several books and magic. Always magic...lol
Christopher Conrad I don't believe in writer's block. There's no such thing as talker's block. Your mouth always seems to be able to spew something, so why not your pen? I think writer's block can be an excuse for limiting authenticity. Some people fear what others might think of what they have to say so rather than find a palatable way to talk about the difficult things, writer's block was invented. Just my perspective.
Christopher Conrad Everyone on Earth dies from a radiation blast that swept across the planet roasting everyone, but you survived inside of a new doomsday device (designed to block radiation) that you were testing out for your company. Loneliness drove you to create boogeymen.;)
Christopher Conrad Summer is too far ahead to plan for my reading, I tackle books as they come and right now I have several relly good ones lined up, mostly consciousness and magic related, like "The Sworn Book of Honorius" after I finish up "Techniques of Solomonic Magic". Currently diving into "The Lost Lands - A Magickal History of Lemuria, Atlantis and Avalon" by Lucy Cavendish.
