He knew no woman on Terra 3 would ever touch him until Mara Lachlan fell out of the sky and into his waiting arms.
Rue MacGowan was an ‘untouchable’. He was one of the pioneer miners on Terra 3 who was affected by the pockets of gas that changed their lives forever. The gas changed their bodies and gave them ‘gifts’ that shocked and frightened the population of Terra 3 to the point of shunning them. Now they are bullied and rejected by the very people that they made rich and called only when their ‘gifts’ are needed. A hopeful Rue MacGowan fights bitterness by befriending the local sheriff and others at his castle in the desert until his pet rummer Oona flys across the desert to find a transporter crash victim named Mara Lachlan. Mara turns Rue’s world upside down and her love urges him to become the man he wishes to be. The results being, two people meeting under strange circumstances turns heads and fulfills destinies becoming the catalyst to change an entire planet.
Thanks to all my readers. To those that send reviews and those that send me email. I appreciate all your thoughts. I like it that others enjoy reading my stories as much as I like writing them.
If there is one thing I like It's a really good story. I will have to admit, I love happy endings. I love family, true love and devotion. That is at the heart of all my stories.
The women don't have to be perfect. I prefer they aren't. And the men? They don't have to be perfect either although most of my male characters would swear they were. People have flaws and these wonderful flaws I love to develop in my stories. It creates some of the rare characters that I love to explore. It's what makes being human interesting to me and all my stories have someone who has very clear-cut flaws. I write stories that entertain me. Doing that, I believe I entertain others as well and...it keeps me out of trouble.
It would have been 4 if there weren't so many sub stories. This should have been three books. This was not my cup of tea. However, I can still appreciate it. I believe it will much more enjoyed by twenty somethings.
This story had a strange combination of western, highlander knights, and a futuristic setting. The erotica just made it even stranger. But it had a good story to it and the strange mix worked with it. I guess when you colonize a new planet anything goes.
I barely got to the second chapter before deciding to quit. The writing seems very juvenile, and I had a hard time understanding what the author was trying to say. Some things in books are implied and that's ok, if the reader understands the implications. But I felt in certain spots I was supposed to pick up on things that the author, I guess thought was obvious, but I did not. It was weird. I gave up. But dang, I wanted this to be a good book because I loved the cover so much. Oh well.
