This is a great book! The De Boer family is separated for their own safety, and John joins an underground railroad group. They have fun times together, but are in danger a lot. John ends up getting captured by the Germans after trying to find a traitor from his group. He spends many months in prison, but escapes from a truck when they ship him and a bunch of other prisoners to shoot them.
I really liked this book, and I can't wait to find out what happens next!
