He was practically born with a pen in his hand and a book in his lap, and spent much of his childhood immersed in his mother's impressive library of scientific and esoteric tomes.
After 22 years in the entertainment industry in Chicago, Christopher made the move to Central Florida to pursue his passion for construction entrepreneurship, freelance photography, and writing. When he's not busy with his various creative pursuits, you can find him practicing yoga, exploring new places, and spending time with his loved ones.

The photographs are gorgeous.... of plants, nature, children, even a chessboard...with quotes to go with each photograph.
Really lovely. A leaf was so fluorescent I couldn’t take my eyes off it.
Photograph after photograph is a visual delight.
I downloaded this book for free as a kindle unlimited.
It was a lovely companion while soaking in our garden oasis pool surrounded by plants.
Taking a few moments to treasure the work of another....
their art & quotes ( time stands still in these quick moments of our days)....
GIVES....
....us back many more hours of serenity than the moments we gave - giving up our own agendas.

The magic of this book is that it stimulates
calmness, appreciation for being alive -
And....
Thankfulness to be surrounded by the wonders - of of the world we live.
One photo is of a little boy running outdoors.... no words are necessary—we can experience his joy—
but the quote that went with that photo said:
“Kids have their best running style.
It’s not smooth.
It’s not graceful.
But there is a classification for
their kind of gait.
It’s called
HAPPY.”
and isn’t that the truth?
The author lives in Florida-a photographer and author..
He lives in ‘other’ ( ha), sunshine State.
Sure, *Christopher Tolen* has lived in other places and traveled even more places.
But the things he loves in life.... the simple things such as nature, children, family, friends, playing chess, scrabble, yoga, love....
can be found every city, state, and nation.

Very nice and inspirational quotes choice.
Fonts could have better color/size composition.

This book left me with a sense of awe for the beauty of life.
The author allows us to see life through the eyes of one who lives each day full of optimism, someone who appreciates the beauty around him, and is embracing life’s limitless potential.
The matching of beautiful images from photos actually taken by the gifted author, with eloquent quotes, makes this a book to be safeguarded and cherished for many years to come.
Some of my favorite quotes from the book were:
“Reach for the stars even if you have to stand on a cactus.” Martin Luther King
“Give to the world the best you have and the best will come back to you.” Edward W. Bok
“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” Helen Keller
“Nature is not a place to visit, it is home.” Gary Snyder
Conrad taps into a timeless creative spirit. He himself is inspired by his appreciation of nature, then he in turn inspires us through the words he culls and the magic that he captures in his photos. His art blends together equal components of love, joy, and a razor-sharp knack for unearthing the “aha moments” in everyday life.
