super short but fantastic read! i love short(er) stories and nella larsen has not disappointed me thus far. will be reading passing next & i cannot wait

Nella Larsen’s last literary endeavor as it ended her career. After having read into her history and life, I was not sure what to expect but it certainly was not this. I have never felt for characters this quickly. Extremely gripping and so incredibly well written that I will definitely need to read her other works like Passing.

Quarto conto do Clube da Caixa Preta e esse me pegou de volta. Deu até vontade de pular pra leitura de Identidade, romance da mesma escritora. Tantas camadas num conto tão curtinho, gostei de ver. (E mais: amei a capa fofinha, a gente não faz ideia do que tá por vir, tipo a de "John Redding vai ao mar"!)
