God and Souls: Improve Yourself. Improve the World.

Rate this book
God & Souls There are thousands of religions and denominations in the world. Which one is correct? God & Souls does not seek to answer this question, rather it seeks to explore the commonalities amongst religions to find a place of peace and understanding that makes all of us better people living in a better world. This book isn’t about religion. It is about our souls and how they act and interact to make us, and the world around us, what we are. If we learn about and learn to improve our soul ratios, we can create a world that is better for us, for those around us, and for the world at large. God & Souls theorizes about God. No one knows what or who God truly is. It is impossible to know for sure. Understanding this concept allows us to stop holding so tightly to our own religious beliefs and compels us to be more open and understanding of others—creating a more peaceful and understanding world. I love interaction with my readers. Email me at [email protected] with your thoughts, so we can all continue to become better! Mitchell Lyn is an author, speaker, and trainer. First impressions were that I felt the book was a little lightweight and lacked additional voices to back up your viewpoints, but in the same breath I also felt that it was very uplifting: a great reminder that we are all one family, and that we need to work hard to love and care for each other, as our similarities outweigh our differences.

The author certainly posed an interesting way of viewing our existence. I enjoyed pondering how my soul is impacted by my daily actions and interactions with others. I also really enjoyed reviewing how all religions have very many similarities. I was glad that the author really wanted us all to focus on those connections rather than any contentious issues.

While I completely agree with the author, I didn't feel that this book had enough "oompf" to make me change my ways in any drastic way. And I couldn't tell if that's what the author intended. For me, I hope to just go about my day-to-day life with a little extra perspective: that we all need to work harder to connect with and care for each other.

As I read this book with the perspective of a Christian, I wasn't sure what to make of some of the viewpoints expressed, and I'd be very curious to see what other religious individuals think. I would have loved a few "book club discussion points" at the back of the book - I feel that a lot of discussion points posed in this book could fit well within my book clubs!

Overall, it wasn't a long book, and it didn't change my life drastically, but it was a good $5 well spent (e-book) as it reminded me of my duty to have charity to all, regardless of race, religion, skin, politics, or class. I'd recommend it for that purpose alone.

The power of "God and Souls" is a significant highlight and message to all
that we are of the same kind, God is one for all, and every single person in the world is Godchild.
Besides that, a message working on yourself, you are fighting against evil.
I firmly believe that we need more messages similar to those in "God and Souls."
