These were really interesting to read, and particularly Antigone and Oedipus the King are quite engaging stories. The dramatic irony in Oedipus the King is hilarious in particular, and Antigone is such a masterpiece as well. The translation by Robert Fagles is wonderful - it flows really well, and it appears to really hold close to the original as well (though I'm not completely sure about that). However, if you want to pick it up, you might just want to go for the edition that is less introduction-heavy, because I did find that to be quite discouraging at times. However, these were really interesting as well and I'm glad I read them, I guess. In any case, I'll definitely be picking up more Ancient Greek and Roman works!...more
