I knew enough words to have a good sense of what I was saying without the English version (and could even spot the differences in words chosen!). I love books that expose children to new languages. Honestly I'd like to study more French after reading this book, because it was such a pleasure to discover the rhythm and cadence of the beautiful language.
Illustrations weren't anything that excited me dreadfully though. I was a bit disappointed on that score, hence the lower score....more
