Our main protagonist Ama, she's a wedding planner and her job was so much fun to read about in this book. Elliot owns a flower shop, so he's kind of also involved in the wedding industry, and that's how they meet again after a few years of not talking. I usually don't care for 'second chance' romances like this, if you can even really call it that, but damn, I LOVED these two together. They had such great chemistry, and the steamy scenes were so WELL WRITTEN and genuinely made me giddy which rarely ever happens for me in romance books. Idk there was something about them, I just really loved their relationship.
Reading this book was loads of fun, it checked all my boxes for things I'm looking for,the plot was just as interesting as the relationship. The third act conflict toward the end actually felt realistic instead of forced. I think if you like Ali Hazelwood's writing, there's a good chance you'd love this book too, it reminded me of her books in a way.

I also love AJ's character; this really feels more like a slice of life character study type of story, and I grew to love his character so much. The writing had such a cozy atmosphere to it as most of this story takes place in a bookstore AJ owns on an island in a small town. It was just so incredibly wholesome and had such great characters that I will remember forever. This book is general was such a cozy, comforting read that I would highly recommend for any book lover. The ending nearly brought me to tears, I wasn't expecting this book to have so much heart.

So, this is definitely no fault of the book, the book was fine, and I think if you like Agatha Christie classic whodunnit feel type of mysteries, you'd probably love this! It just wasn't for me.

I had a fun time with this, I love thrillers that focus on mother/daughter relationships and this one was especially interesting because they hadn't spoken to each other in 2 years. I liked that we got both the mother and daughter's POV's and that we go back and forth after she has survived this plane crash and she's trying to survive in the wilderness. It was very action packed with short chapters and easy to fly through! Some of the ending lost me a little bit, it had a few tropes I typically don't enjoy in thrillers, but otherwise, this one was super interesting and a fun time!

I was very fascinated by Ellie's chapters which were taking place in the past, and I liked alternating timelines between the past and the present day after she returns. There were some things I really loved about this book, but unfortunately, I found it to be just okay. The writing style was so repetitive and clunky at times -- it just didn't flow very naturally, and while I appreciated some of the social commentary, some of it was just sooooo on the nose. The ending was also a little far-fetched for me.

I also really connected with Billie in this book, and the way she talked about how she doesn't want children. I think as far as a mystery thriller goes, there wasn't anything super shocking in this story for me, it was mostly predictable. But I really connected with the characters in this book a lot so that's why I enjoyed it so much.

I'm a huge fan of the nanny gone wrong trope, and I feel like this book did something totally different and unexpected with that trope! I really loved the New York atmosphere in this book and the slightly creepy atmosphere too. I thought the pacing in the middle started to drag a little bit, but the ending definitely picked up! There were a few plot twists at the end, some of them I saw coming, but some I didn't! I would definitely recommend this one, it's so fast paced with short chapters, the perfect book to get you out of a slump and easy to finish in one or two sittings! Very hard to put down, that's for sure.
4.5 stars Ahhh, I freaking LOVED this. I would describe this book as Rainbow Rowell meets Fredrik Backman. I feel like Phoebe's character in this book4.5 stars Ahhh, I freaking LOVED this. I would describe this book as Rainbow Rowell meets Fredrik Backman. I feel like Phoebe's character in this book was so relatable and I connected with her in the same way I've connected with characters from Rainbow Rowell books. She's darkly funny at times, and I just really enjoyed reading about her story. But then I feel like the writing in this book reminds me of Anxious People, where the story subject matter is actually very dark and depressing, but the writing manages to be really lighthearted and not so serious. I loved the writing style in this so much, there were so many great quotes I was underlining, and I really connected with these characters.
I feel like this book is one of those thought provoking books about human connection and the human experience, and I loved it. I love the relationships and friendships she developed with the wedding guests, and the romance in this book was unexpected for me but I also really enjoyed the romance too!

I listened to this one on audio during a long drive, and it really held my attention. I loved the location being in Napa Valley, California and all the talk about the wineries created the perfect atmosphere. There was a "twist" about halfway through if we can even call it that, that I was like ughhhhh oh no because I hate that trope and I don't find it surprising or interesting. But then the second half of the book got a lot more interesting, and I had fun with it. Some of it is a little farfetched or over the top, but it was still a good time, and I really loved the final chapter, I was shocked by that, didn't see it coming.

I ended up really connecting with the characters and ending was really interesting too, I felt a lot of sympathy for the protagonist with making hard decisions. I also loved the slow burn romance as she started to fall for her husband in the future and bond with her children, I thought it was so sweet.

I loved Sally's character, she was so interesting to read about and not only her perspective, but a second perspective in this book that got explored was my favorite. These characters were soooo fascinating and felt so real. There were so many shocking scenes, especially in the second half, I was GLUED to the page, I couldn't put it down.
I included this book and one other in a Patreon exclusive vlog, where I talk about spoilers for this one and get deep into my thoughts about it, you can see it here:https://www.patreon.com/posts/106214157...more

Margo's character was really interesting to follow, even though I didn't always agree with her decisions. I don't necessarily care to read stories about the struggling single mother, but the OnlyFans storyline kept me so invested and intrigued. I like the social commentary on doing something like OnlyFans and how people perceive you in a certain way, and the difference between men and women doing sex work, and how society is so much harsher on women, it was interesting. I thought the ending was good, but I wanted a harder emotional punch, I guess. The audiobook was great though, it's narrated to Elle Fanning so that was really cool! I listened to it all in one afternoon....more

People shouldThis book was sothought provokingand interesting, and it had suchgreat social commentaryon the expectations society places among us. People should not have to aspire to a great career or marriage or anything they don't want. Keiko was such a fun character to follow. I wish the ending got a little more unhinged, it was pretty mild in my opinion.

This book is everything I love in a story -- it's so thought provoking and interesting, it has great characters, and we follow so many, but I felt so connected to all of them. It also mostly takes place in New York which I also love.
The concept in this book is wildly fascinating,I could read several books that take place in this world. Everyone gets a box with a string that determines how long they have left to live. I love how so many different and unique situations are explored, and anything you can think of that could happen is also explored. I love how it shows how it affects people in relationships and families and how it affects politics and different countries, it was all so interesting.
The ending was a little predictable and yet I still cried. It got me right in the feels. Here's the reading vlog where I read it:https://youtu.be/ih5PqBZIseI...more

I LOVE that it takes place in a small town in Oregon in the PNW, I love that it's a next door neighbors kind of romance. I love that Fisher is a really well-respected chef from NYC, he definitely reminded me of Jeremy Allen White's character fromThe Bear, and the small town in Oregon was giving all theSchitts Creekvibes. I love how Fisher is taking care of his niece, and he's her guardian now, their relationship was insanely cute.
There were so many moments this book that actually made me laugh out loud,it was f*cking hilarious. I loved these two characters, Sage and Fisher had such great chemistry. It's rare that I actually enjoy reading the steamy scenes in romance books, but like low key some of these scenes had me blushing and shit like they were so hot together. I annotated and tabbed the hell out of my copy haha, like I can see myself rereading this in the future. My only *small* complaint is that I wanted even more scenes of Fisher actually cooking, I feel like I didn't get enough of that in this book haha but otherwise it's perfect!
I'll definitely have to check out more books from this author after loving this one as much as I did!...more

And this kills me to feel so meh about a book that everyone seems to be loving so much.
This book took me 4-5 days to read, which is such a long time for me. I am usually the type of reader to finish a book in 1-2 days but for some reason with this one I wasn’t as excited about picking it back up to read so it took me so long to get through it.
Here are some of my thoughts: •I’m not a huge fan of childhood friends to lovers, second chance romances, or reading about road trips in general so I might not even be the right audience for this •I also really hate miscommunication in romances and I feel like there was an excessive amount of it in this book •I thought Logan was obnoxious as f*ck, and she has the personality of a thirteen year old boy, especially in the first half of this book •I kind of hated how Logan and Joe would team up and tease Rosemary for being uptight about certain things when Rosemary had a very valid reason for doing most of the things she did and her reactions most of the time were fair (especially with the weed scene?) •The “Demi fucking Lovato” and cussing with celebrity names got old so fast and got really annoying and repetitive •I loved the writing in this about the landscapes, but especially the descriptions of the PNW at the beginning of this •Joe is the best character by far, he’s freaking great I loved him. •The ending did make me cry, I thought the ending was beautiful and so well done, but also like damn those sad scenes really got dragged out and it was so sad to read this...more
