After reading Vol11, it was difficult to hold back. Hence I plunged and zoomed past the final Volume in a single sitting.
Glad it did not disappoint. OAfter reading Vol11, it was difficult to hold back. Hence I plunged and zoomed past the final Volume in a single sitting.
Glad it did not disappoint. Overall the full series is excellent.
What I Loved: 1. L! 2. Loads of plot twists - sometimes on the brink of a disadvantage due to way too many of them! 3. Game of Chess - the ongoing mental tussle was brilliant throughout. This is the part I loved most. 4. The art, expressions, character build up, thought process, counter thoughts, you name it - DN has it all!
What I Didn't Like: 1. All female characters were played super dumb and were used like props! 2. Unnecessary deviation. That whole corporate thing was a stretched dead rubber! 3. Volume 5-8 could have easily been cut down. Vol1-4 was exceptionally brilliant! 4. Too much of confusion after Vol7. Had to re-read an entire Vol to make sense of what was happening.
Overall: Recommeneded. If you love logical deductions, go for it. Would have highly recommended Vol1-4, but that doesn't brings closure. And entire series does not maintain the same level of punch and excitement....more

Unbelievable! Best of the series so far. Had the most exciting thriller moments in this volume. L is a champion. Love how the artist has portrayed his eyes. So inquisitive.
And like always, felt the end was so near. And yet it is just a new beginning.
Another volume thoroughly enjoyed. Edge of the cliff thriller! Each chapter gives the feel that this series is going to end within the next volume.

Loved the tennis court scene and the coffee parlor conversation. Too good! Then it had its WTF moment... in the last chapter called "Fool".

The paperback black edition is something to die for. Only grit is - why all the rules are not introduced in the beginning? Arrrgggh.

Lovely art. Great plot. Superb execution.
What irks me though is the way the rules of the game keep changing after every chapter. Why not spill the rules upfront....more

Quite creative rendering of Buddha's tale. So many characters and stories intertwined. Throwing in modern day dialogues adds to the fun factor. Often reminds of Amar Chitra Katha tales, except for the nudity and gore. The artwork is amazing.

The art, the plot, the character build up, action, dialogues… everything is carved to perfection. Could relate to lot of stuff from Mahabharata - Born a shudra, serving as a Kshatriya, challenging duals, magical realism, saints monks, wishes and curses. Parallel stories intertwined in an interesting manner.
Was in split minds whether to pick this series after reading Herman Hesse. Instincts gave a go ahead - and I'm glad to have found this!...more
