Oh, this opening scene where Cora wakes up in a strange place!!!....Delicate furniture and mirrors all around, a blond girl was singing "tra la la, la la" dancing around, the birds were singing "chirp chirpity chirp" ie "you are not dreaming" in plain english, three magnificent horses with three magnificent riders at the courtyard wearing fluffy feathers. I was totally hooked to the story from the start. I am a sucker for fairytales. Totally addicted. Out of the three horsemen, Tor (Cora's future sweetheart) will be the dark one, he will always look pissed and this seems it will be the only emotion he has until the middle of the book. Although he will save Cora from monsters in the beginning, he will be cruel to her. He will drop her in a dusty cave and he will make her eat Thumper, a sweet bunny. Cora tries to explain to him from the beginning that she is from a different world and now she is scared and confused and knows nothing about her evil twin. But he is a jerk. And he will be a jerk for most of the book. Well, I read a saying somewhere that "marriage is loving someone so much that you forgive them occasionally for being a freaking asshole". Cora will forgive Tor occasionally A LOT. Anyway, he is a prince who hss never denied anything and who cannot not trust his wife enough based on his previous experiences and on her past behaviour. It is normal for him to behave as an asshole - not that I am making excuses for him. My favourite scene is when Tor is transported to out dimension and he meets Cora's parents. And when her father asks Tor "Are you drugging her fruit juice? Are you in some kind of cult?", I could not stop laughing. It seems that all parents are the same in all countries of the world and whether they are hippies or not. Her parents are so cute. Another thing I would like to mention is that I love that all girls in the series are slightly older (Cora is 32). They are girls next door, not very rich, not well educated, but with a strong spirit and an innocent soul and they live a simple life before they become Queens and Princesses. Loved them!...more

Because trust me when I say that there is no chance someone who loves watching Game of Thrones and is reading the book for first time not picturing Dax Lahn as Drogo and Circe Quinn as Daenerys. In the downfalls of the book, I really missed the elves and the dragons from Fantasyland book 1 and the Korwahk language was a bit hard to get used to especially in the beginning of the book. Also although Circe was mentioned as a witch in the first book, I could not picture this fact in the second book until storms and rainbows have started making appearences in the sky. But the last 100 pages of the book have seriously taken the story at a higher level and made me fall in love with the two main characters. Lahn was purfect as the savage king who falls in love at first sight with beautiful golden Circe. Circe was purfect as the innocent girl from Seattle who is taken unwillingly from her world, who is given no choice of her own life and who is repeatedly being raped before she forgives and falls in love. Dortak was perfect as the man who was born to be hated. I never expect to cry and have my heart that broken with a fantacy book......more

There are so many things happening in the book that my head is spinning. Finnie wants to live an epic adventure and meet again her parents who she adored but sadly she lost them when they she was young. When a witch mentions the existence of a parallel universe where everyone have their twin, Finnie decides to have the opportunity to exchange souls with her twin there and meet her parents again and spend some time with them before she gets back to her real life after a year. Finnie and the reader are transfered to a strange land full of magic, witches, bloodthirsty kings, epic adventures in the sea. What Finnie does not expect is to get married straight away to a guy who commands elves and dragons and to fall in love. Although there were times I wanted to strangle Frey, Finnie's husband and true love, I really enjoyed the book. Frey is almost barbaric, without manners. He never asks Finnie's opinion and he is hiding things from her which are influencing deeply her life. I only wish there were more dragons included in the book. Oh well still it was a great book and an epic full proportion adventure. Time to start next book in the series, which I heard it is awesome....more

A love story, a few mysteries and a fantasy fairies story out of the blue are tangled together and they produce an irresistible book. Niall, Taylor and Roo will fall in love. No, this is not correct. Actually Niall was already in love with Taylor and then he fell in love with Roo. And Roo fell in love with Niall firstly and then she fell in love with Taylor. And Taylor was lusting over Niall and Roo but he fell in love with them only in the last part of the book. It may sound confusing but everything will make sense when you read the book. Oh there were so many things worth mentioning in this book: -the incredible settings with the British countryside and the house being next to a forest in Leeds -an enchanted forest and a parallel world full of fairies -a story you will not see where it will take you until you are already there -three people complementary each other and finding happiness -lots of laughs and crazy situations Loved them all!...more

This book was perfect to satisfy my need. What would it be better than my favourite fairytale "Beauty and the beast" seen from a different angle?
Things I learned from this story (not that I did not already know them):

He was dead and without a demon even before the Lords started getting mating one by one. When he came back from the dead, he had no demon, i.e. we really do not know much about his suffering. We only learned that he really wanted to die before he died. Distrust also caused his hair to catch fire.

I think this was the least anticipated book by the series’ fans. Including me.
It was hard to feel for Baden in the beginning of the book. It seems as if Baden is a nice tortured guy, but I did not know him. He was dead but lived in our hearts for more than 10 books and suddenly he is back. It took me a while to understand him and his motives but l liked him and his story.
So Baden used to be a Lord and the keeper of Distrust. The only dead Lord. Haidee, currently Amun’s mate, was used as Bait by Hunters in order to kill Baden.
Nowadays, he is back with an assignment by Hades. He needs to retrieve a coin from a dangerous man, Aleksader. When he visits him demanding the coin, Aleksader has just got married to Katarina. Baden instead of the coin, he takes Katarina with him.
