First book in the Invisible Cycle series, but fun fact: the second and third books I have already read years ago.

This book wasn't less better than the others. I truly enjoyed it, even though it was weird and was about Buddhism, more or less. But even though I am a christian and not a buddhist, I really liked some aspects of this religion as well and the characters, weird as usual in Eric's books, were still impressing.
The ending was a bit confusing but overall I truly liked this one.
Another amazing book by Amelie; and curiously enough, even better than the other 2 that were also amazing!

We have a hint of mystery in this one. Saturnine wants to move in a rent and she founds an extraordinary place for a small price. However, she will live with the mysterious Elemirio. And is said that 8 girls lived there before Saturnine and they just vanished.
I loved the story, the dialogue and that ending and I crave for even more books from this amazing author!
Stories 1. I don't like the Darkness by Anna Wilson - 4.5 stars Very alike the book "The Owl who was afraid of the Dark"4.25 stars for the book overall.
Stories 1. I don't like the Darkness by Anna Wilson - 4.5 stars Very alike the book "The Owl who was afraid of the Dark", but it's about a little bunny scared of the dark, with an owl friend and shorter. It is childish but magical and Christmas-y and makes my heart warm!
2. The Reindeers in the Garden by Holly Webb - 4 stars A bit unrealistic at few points, but had a really beautiful story and ending. It represents the faith that a child has when no one believes him that the wire reindeers are more than just decorations.
3. Night Flight towards Home by Michael Broad - 4.5 stars A little cat trying to impress human beings so she can be adopted, but no one wants him until a witch comes into the shop and that's how he finds his way home.

6. The Christmas Parade by Katy Cannon - 3 stars A Christmas parade, a naughty dog that ruins it and the little girl who tries her best to include the dog in the play at all cost.
7. Ola jumps in to help! by Tracey Corderoy - 5 stars My favourite story in the whole book! A Christmas contest, a bear who caught a cold and Ola who faught to learn the role of Belle so she can replace her and be the shooting star. Also Wilbur who helped her in a surprising turn of events.
8. Denzil's Adventure by Liss Norton - 4.5 stars Denzil the Dragon wants an adventure, because he is tired of the same cave he is in with his parents. So he leaves and finds some animal species, befriends them, but can't find a perfect place for him. The end is a surprising twist!
9. A Rescue Mission by Linda Chapman - 4 stars A little girl saves a kitty who gives birth in the cold with her lovely pony and finds her brother's toy rabbit.
10. Snowy by Lucy Courtenay - Two sisters take advantage of the big snow to create a snow dog and imagine it carries them away, until...
Anyway, these stories are amazing for kids and for anyone who wants to read Christmas-y books around the holidays....more

I read this one for Dewey's Readathon and buddy-read it with a lovely woman I met during this amazing time. This book represents human beings sooo good and I actually laughed at times.
I felt sorry for all the animals. What started as a big idea - animalism - created by a pig who then died shortly after he shared the idea with all the animals at the farm, became then something entirely different (in a bad way) because of another Pig, Napoleon, who took charge and changed the idea into something else.
The book was a little dragging at times, but overall it was a good read and I'm happy that I got to it. My favourite character was definitely Boxer, the strong horse. Oh, also the donkey who remained unchanged.
