The least well known of the Narnia series, but still a wonderful tale set during the great reign of The Four at Cair Paravel. A tale about Shasta and Bree the talking horse and their long journey to Narnia and all their adventures in between.
One of the only failings of the Narnia series is how little it focussed on the reign of the Four that set up a golden age of Narnia, although this book comes a little way in providing a little insight. Sadly I can freely admit that nothing is loss if this book is left off your reading list, and you just read the other six! Still story, continuity and world building wise a firm 8 out of 12, Four Stars.

Totally agree. This one seems almost like a standalone. Would hate to miss meeting Shasta and Bree, though. Wonderful review!
