This is such a beautiful story about the power of books and stories, the depths of grief and discovering who you are while dealing with that grief. The dual timeline story follows Hazel as a 14 year old telling stories of a place called “Whisperwood” that is a secret with her baby sister, Flora Lea. Twenty years later, Hazel is working in a bookstore when a book comes in about Whisperwood. The problem is Flora Lea went missing as a young girl, so how did the secret story end up being told by someone unrelated to them. You will not be able to put this one down once you start.
