Tabitha Vohn's Reviews> A Dawn of Onyx
A Dawn of Onyx (The Sacred Stones, #1)

The perfect Romantasy binge read.
While Golden isn't, perhaps, the most eloquent world-builder, her enemies-to-lovers trope was spot-on, the discourse between characters was engaging and realistic; I was present in the love story the entire time; the slow burn is steamy. The action was sustainable, and her plot-line has originality to it.
I'm slightly disappointed with the direction she chose for Arwen at the novel's conclusion (yes, it's the trending choice, but it makes the heroines seem weak-willed and silly; burn slower if you must, but enough the fickle-ness), but not enough to keep me from buying book #2.
This is escapism at its best. Highly recommend to lovers of this genre who don't necessarily want to read fae-porn.
