Better than volume 6 but still not as good as the first few. We got a lot of time with Damien in this one and how he just wants to be good enough for his father. I did like their trip out to the woods and how much his followers really do seem to care about him. Also got some Bond time finally which was great but I don't like seeing him so stressed out! He's still the cutest though. The Thorn Princess is questioning whether she should continue in her line of work but is entering one last mission which has the chance to be quite interesting. I loved the finding of the cat chapter, adorable and should always rescue kitties!
