Oh, Weston Belmont, what a man you are. I absolutely adore him. His fun and loving personality is addicting. He has this charming jokester vibe that I just can't get enough of. His witty remarks kept me entertained throughout, and I really appreciate that kind of character.
Then there's Skylar Stone. She is one strong woman. Watching her stand up for herself and realize her worth was truly empowering. She knew exactly what she wanted and understood how much more she deserved.
I wasn’t a big fan of the first book in this series, but I have to say, this one was a significant improvement. The romantic connection between Weston and Skylar was amazing to read about. I also enjoyed seeing how they interacted with the kids. Overall, I highly recommend it....more

Obsessed is an understatement. I knew this book had received good ratings, but I didn't want to get my hopes up. It absolutely blew me away. It’s not at all what I expected. I didn’t read the blurb, so I didn't really know what to anticipate beyond a few reviews I’d seen. The concept is incredibly unique and magical. It’s definitely different from anything else I have read, and I adored every second of it.
I loved both Iwan and “Lemon.” The shifting between present and seven years was captivating. I was absolutely enraptured by everything about this book. I wasn’t expecting the depth it had or how prominently grief was. That aspect took me by surprise and had me tearing up multiple times. I felt deeply touched by this book and its messages.
I love books that I can connect with on a deep level, and this one resonated with me deeply. Here’s a quote that particularly moved me: “Nothing lasts forever. Not the good things, not the bad. So just find what makes you happy, and do it for as long as you can.” This is such a special book that I recommend to everyone....more

I really loved the concept at the beginning; it felt fresh and fun! The shy guy seeking dating help was particularly cute. However, things started to get mixed for me when the story introduced the dynamic of helping each other out romantically but as friends.
While I appreciated the concept, the shift to mutual attraction and the admission of feelings occurred too quickly for my taste. This early admission of attraction made me less interested. Although they didn't fully act on their feelings, the kiss and early confession felt too soon.
There was also too much description that didn't seem necessary. I enjoyed the beginning a lot, but I lost interest about halfway through, making it difficult to reconnect with the story....more

Aiden is the cutest man ever. He has a way of speaking that is both serious and goofy, and I absolutely love it. Everything about him is lovable, from how he cared for her from the very beginning to his little acts of love. Even though he claims love doesn’t exist, he is incredibly romantic and considerate right from the start.
Lucie's transformation is also something I admire. She evolves into a person who knows what she wants, which, though it took time and the right influences, made me incredibly proud of her. Watching her come from her shell and bravely express her feelings was truly heartwarming. It inspired me to be more like her, particularly when it comes to understanding and voicing my own desires and emotions.
I loved how the story concluded, especially seeing Aiden come to terms with his feelings. Overall, I highly recommend this book!...more

Unfortunately, I found this book to be a bit boring and unoriginal. It felt like just another small-town cowboy romance with nothing that stood out. The lack of originality kept me from getting hooked, and I didn’t really connect with the characters either.
There were some aspects I enjoyed, like the spice, which was pretty good, and I did like Luke. It reminded me a lot of the Chestnut Springs series but didn’t quite measure up in my opinion. I had high hopes going into it, so maybe I was expecting too much. For me, it ended up being quite average.
I’ll probably give book two a try since I already have it. I’m hoping it turns out to be better than this one....more

Very enjoyable read!!
The one thing that had me struggle was how confusing the underworld was. It took me a while to get into it because it’s quite different from the world presented in the earlier books. The underworld has a different way of functioning, which made it challenging to follow. I often felt disoriented by the timing of things and rapid changes.
Despite the confusion, the setting was really intriguing. I enjoyed the characters and appreciated the touch of romance, though it was definitely a slow burn. The constant back and forth and the numerous almost-kisses had me on edge, to the point where I wanted to throw my book across the room and scream, just kiss already! Overall, I did enjoy this one and I am looking forward to seeing where things go in the next....more

As much as I like Nyktos and Sera, I never loved them as much as I do Cas and Poppy. With that being said, I just couldn’t get into this. It felt like a large majority of this one was iust explaining how everything worked. There were so many descriptions all the time. I really think it would’ve been better combined with the last book. It was too dragged out sadly. I liked certain parts for sure and I do love the relationship that Sera and Nyktos have but it wasn’t enough to keep me hooked and interested. I enjoyed the ending but I am even more excited for the next Cas and Poppy book!...more

I love how protective he is. It’s really cute how such a big and serious guy has an undertone of humor. He acts so tough, yet his comments about wanting to protect her were so serious that they made me giggle.
One downside is that it felt a bit too long. I still enjoyed it, but I would have enjoyed it even more if it had been a tad shorter. Additionally, the romance felt a bit like insta-love; he definitely falls first and fast. Although I love that trope, they acted on it quite quickly. They seemed to fall in love and get together almost too fast, which I didn’t quite love.
I didn’t feel a strong connection to Tallulah, but I still appreciated her point of view. My favorite part of the book was definitely Burgess—his brooding and grumpy self contrasted with his softness for his girl. Despite the few issues, I still recommend it!...more

BEAUTIFUL! I am completely obsessed. This is my favorite of the series. Isaiah and Kennedy have my whole heart. But it's not just them; the entire found family and all the friends are so wonderful. I adored reading this book and seeing everyone together and happy.
I really connected with Kennedy. Like her, I’m not very touchy and haven’t experienced much of that kind of comfortable affection. I felt I could understand her struggle with not finding someone she’s entirely comfortable with. It gave me hope that I might find that kind of comfort too, if I meet the right person.
As for Isaiah, I loved his charming and funny side, but I appreciated his vulnerable and honest moments even more. Seeing him overcome his anxiety and fear of being just the funny, upbeat guy was inspiring. I felt a deep connection to both characters and the storyline. It’s like I can imagine having a similar story of my own someday.
Highly recommend this book and here’s to Rio being next!!...more

It took me a while to get into this book. The world-building is pretty detailed and can be confusing, especially in the first 200 pages, which were a bit rough. The story and romance start to pick up eventually, but I was still pretty confused throughout. It felt a bit all over the place and chaotic, honestly.
Also, the slow burn romance didn't quite work for me. There was no real tension or build-up. When the characters finally got together, it felt like it happened too quickly, but also not quickly enough. The slow burn should build up more, but here it just seemed to be missing.
My feelings about the book were all over the place. Sometimes I liked it, other times I was just bored. The idea and story were good, but the execution didn't quite hit the mark for me. I did enjoy the found family aspect and the side characters were great. Overall, though, it was pretty average....more

What a great conclusion! I couldn’t have predicted how much I would enjoy having Elm’s point of view and seeing Ione being more present too. I'm actually thankful for Elm’s perspective because it added depth, especially since there wasn't as much focus on the romance between Ravyn and Elspeth. While I wished for more interactions between Ravyn and Elspeth, what we got was still good. Elm’s character really grew on me, and delving into his story was a highlight.
The storyline itself is intriguing, although it did feel a bit complex and hard to follow at times. The uniqueness did keep me engaged but it got a tad bit long in some moments. Exploring the nightmares storyline was great and I enjoyed learning about his past. While I felt the book was slightly lengthy and could have been more concise, I did enjoy reading it!...more

I enjoyed this! I can’t say I read many dark/gothic like fantasy books so I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it. It did take me some time to get into and I was quite confused with everything at first. Once I started understanding the concept better I got more into it and started enjoying it more.
The concept itself is pretty unique and intriguing. The nightmare aspect had me spooked sometimes. I did guess the plot twist, and it wasn’t like a jaw dropping reveal but I still really enjoyed it.
I think I liked Ravyn the best. I wish we had dual pov so I can see what he got up to more. I was super intrigued with him and the romance aspect. I hope we get to delve deeper into his character in book 2.
This book is definitely more plot driven with a little side of romance. I recommend it!...more

Oh. My. God. The ENDING!! I am one second away from tearing all my hair out. I loved this book SO MUCH!!!! If you haven’t read this series and book yet, you absolutely must go buy it. The fact this came out yesterday and I work full time yet still binged it, goes to show how this book has taken over my life. My favourite book/series of the year for sure. I was hoping to get more Paedyn and Kai scenes and boy did this book give me everything I wanted and MORE. Kai is so so cocky and a lover at heart. I am so obsessed with Kai and everything he does. Not only do I love him but I love Paedyn. She is so strong, witty and amazing. I love both of them so much and not one second did I feel bored. It was genuinely so easy to read. I love the multiple povs as well, it just adds so much to the story. The banter and tension between Pae and Kai is UNMATCHED. My heart is breaking for that ending but I am so looking forward to everything there is to this series. HIGHLY recommend....more
