As an avid Susan May Warren fan, I’ve been following the creation of this series on social media and trying oh so hard to keep my expectations in check. I have to say, Rachel D. Russell has knocked it out of the park!
The familiar comfort of Deep Haven greets readers while Russell’s wit, humor, and heart make the visit an absolute joy. I literally laughed out loud and insistently read aloud several portions of the book to anyone who would listen. Points of conflict within the plot kept me on the edge of my seat and the characters’ journey of faith and forgiveness warmed my heart.
I highly recommend Still the One for both its familiar setting and fresh new voice.

Even though I didn't grow up in church, it's easy to forget what specifically I didn't know about the church before Jesus and His Bride became such an integral part of my life.
With a heroine who is unapologetically opposed to organized religion, a discontent praise band guitarist, and an ever-present cantankerous handyman, there isn't a shortage of either entertaining or thought-provoking encounters! At the heart of this story is the heart of the church, reaching the lost, edifying the brethren, and bringing all praise, honor, and glory to our Mighty Creator and Savior.
Although I've enjoyed Gray's characters and stories for years, I am especially fond of Love and a Little White Lie. If you're also familiar with her past works, you'll find this story has a little less grit and a little more humor while retaining her signature authentically flawed characters and meaningful plotting. This reading experience has been a breath of fresh air which I highly recommend and I can't wait to read more State of Grace novels!

Big emotions and life-long commitThe Truth About Fame is as delightful as Mr. Marcel Fox himself. Teasing is always good-natured and never excessive. Big emotions and life-long commitment are gently hinted at until the timing is just right. Relationships are always built on love, faith, and everyday life.
Tori is wound a little tight at times and that's the characteristic I most identified with. From my experience, I knew she needed a steady, patient man in her life. Marcel is a perfect blend of fierce protector and down-to-earth family man. I loved watching the sparks fly between these two and seeing them navigate one another's personal and professional lives.
Shiloh delivers what could have easily been a painfully cliche storyline and injects it with faith and an incredible level of relatability. I assure you that chicks of faith from every walk of life will appreciate these characters and their pursuit of happily ever after! This series is highly recommended and lovingly placed on my favorites shelf!

Everything about this book from the packaging to the characters to the plot and heart of the story exudes excellence. Consider this my standing ovation for the author and publishing team, bravo!
The second chances and redemption in this story had my heartstrings looped in pretty little bows. The entire cast of characters ebbed and flowed in a tide of united love and protection. My reader heart soared as Weston, Sophia, and especially little Collin were wrapped in the genuine cares and prayers of their friends, family, and community. If the Sunset Cove community wasn't fictional, I'd be packing up my family for the coast because we could all use a support system that includes men like Lincoln Cole and August Bradford.
I said it before and I'll say it again, T.I. Lowe gently probes the heart with authenticity, hope, and humor. The quintessential coastal town of Sunset Cove is an irresistible setting for this heartwarming and masterfully delivered series. I highly recommend Sea Glass Castle by T.I. Lowe and the entire Carolina Coast series.

The tragic history of a little-known small-town is honored and infused with hope in The Red Ribbon. Pepper Basham's inviting storytelling will challenge the way readers view mountain culture, clans, feuds, sparkin’ and kisses.
Corn shuckin', feudin', and courtin'... This sweet friends-to-more romance features a gripping suspense element cleverly tempered by humor and unforgettable characters! It's a recipe sure to capture your attention as you devour it from cover to cover.
Ava's passionate pursuit of truth and justice and Jeremiah's patient pursuit of Ava instantly endeared these characters to my reader-heart. While the dangerous shadows that seem to lurk around their idyllic mountain town frequently increased my rate of page-turning, The Red Ribbon's storyline is never without hope. I especially appreciate the way suspenseful scenes are often chased by humorous situations or sweet romantic moments... a brave reader I am not.
One of the best things about a multi-author series and specifically True Colors is the variety! Pepper Basham has crafted an intriguing, inspiring, and entertaining story centered around a truly tragic historical event. I highly recommend this book (as well as the other True Colors stories I've read so far)!

Matthew Paul Turner combines the delightful rhyming rhythms of a Dr. Suess classic with the depth, intimacy, and grandeur of a C.S. Lewis. The elevated vocabulary moves children out of predictable simplicity and invites them into the beautiful world of a skillful wordsmith.
When God Made the World is a joy to read aloud and the charming illustrations are worthy of repeated examination. This book feeds the appetite of thirsty young minds, plants seeds in their fertile souls, and affirms their tender spirits with the enormity of the Creator and His care for each beloved child.
Despite the fact that my own children have nearly all transitioned into chapter books, the irresistible quality of this author’s work compels me to continue building our picture book collection.

Susan Sleeman has been on my radar for quite some time so I've been looking for an opportunity to work her books into my reading queue.
This book has excellent pacing that kept my heart rate up without launching my heart into frenzied palpitations. A great balance of romance, technical law enforcement, and unpredictable whodunit makes Seconds to Live an unputdownable read. The relationship between Sean and Taylor progresses from nearly awkward to sparking with attraction yet it's wonderfully witty, respectful, and heartwarming every step of the way.
Readers like me who enjoy a peek at the inner workings of various law enforcement agencies will no doubt enjoy this US Marshal/FBI match up! I will definitely continue following this series and I look forward to checking out Sleeman's backlist as well!

If you're prone to bouts of wanderlust, This Wandering Heart is sure to trigger a flareup. Do not expect a lightweight fluff read here, the vast majority of the backstory and characters' journeys within this story are heart-achingly emotional, genuinely vulnerable, and completely satisfying.
Keira and Robbie's relationship is decidedly more difficult than an "it's complicated" label could ever imply. Their pursuit of forgiveness, healing, and that elusive second chance is inspiring and so are the beautiful descriptions of the many places they visit along the way! Perhaps one of the most difficult yet often overlooked aspects of this story is the authentic representation of young Annabelle's character. Rosche nailed her innocence and honesty amid the turmoil surrounding her and her loved ones.
A promising debut with genuinely complicated relationships and issues of faith, This Wandering Heart is enhanced by its small-town community vibe set in the Pacific Northwest! I am certainly looking forward to the next installment of the Madison River Romance series!

Hanger's Horsemen are motivated, haunted, and united by the tragedy that brought them together. These chivalrous knights of Texas follow a high code of honor, justice, and mercy. Matthew Hanger is a natural leader and driven protector with sacrifice and loyalty running through his veins.
I adore Dr. Josephine Burkett's spunk and determination. Excelling in a profession dominated by men requires plenty of both. Her relationships with the men in her life are plenty complicated but it's hilariously obvious that she is completely unprepared for a distraction from her single-minded professional focus.
Loaded with witty banter, a clever action-packed chain of events, and of course, plenty of shootouts, At Love's Command is quite possibly my favorite Karen Witemeyer story yet and I highly recommend it.

Stay with Me is genuinely marinated in grit and shame yet seasoned with grace and authenticity. Yes, my reader heart was trampled by heavy emotion but the empathy gained is well worth the cost. Grief, substance abuse, guilt, secrets, and shame play important roles in the lives of these characters crafted with transparency and heart.
A simple small-town girl who happens to be a quasi-famous Christian celebrity meets ridiculously handsome Aussie-American foodie guy who lives in a historic mountain valley... a purely wonderful storyline without all the baggage. Stay with Me is so much more than that. It is exquisitely complex and I highly recommend it. We need more stories like this one to make us think and feel and learn what we may not know we need.
