One of the author’s better recent books. I was hooked right from the start. I liked the history aspect and all the family themes (though I have to admOne of the author’s better recent books. As with many of Coble’s other books, there are a lot of characters. When I say a lot, I truly mean it.

This book was just way too complex. Loads of characters and three separate plot lines. That is a lot to keep track of in a novel just over 300 pages. This book was just way too complex. So much so that I kept on forgetting that he was supposed to be law enforcement.
I couldn’t get invested in the first 1/3 of the book but it eventually got better.
