This was a cute and easy read. I enjoyed the character development of Ellie and I liked the relationship between her and James. I found the plot line intriguing because I really hadn’t read a book like this before. I loved the themes of love, friendship and found family. At some points I wish we got to get to know the niece more etc… I feel like the ending was almost rushed and it was just like trying to tie a bow on the ending. But I wanted more.. I wanted to get to know the niece more and maybe a couple more chapters of life with the niece and Ellie etc… Needless to say I was thoroughly wrapped in the story and invested in the characters. My heart felt for Ellie, but also sometimes I was just so frustrated with her because she was almost self-sabotaging herself and I hated to see her go through that. All in all this was a sweet and cute read of newfound family and opening up to love!!
