Gareth receives the news that Le Chateau Anglais is in receivership, he and his wife have the option to buy it. She plans to manage it, and begins making the decisions.
It's an excellent second episode, having worked with a few chefs in my younger years I understand that passions run high in the kitchen, and Chefs take a huge pride in their work. It's funny, it's cutting, I love the wit.
Henry is at his very best here, there is an absolutely amazing scene where a customer asks Gareth for salt, his reaction is wonderful, he goes on a massive rant about the customer's request, it's a great moment. Rupert Vansittart has had a great line in aristocratic unreasonables over the years, he's not given a chance to get a word in.
Excellent 8/10
