The Long Night

As of this episode, House Mormont would seem to be extinct: Jorah and Lyanna die defending others, honoring their house words "Here I Stand" with their deaths. InA Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (2019),Jorah called Lyanna "the future of our house," which could mean that they were the last surviving members of House Mormont. There is, however, a small chance that there are still surviving family members who were simply never introduced on the show; in the books, Lyanna is the youngest of five daughters, one of whom (Dacey) died during the Red Wedding. In the last published books, three of her sisters, a nephew and a niece were still alive. Maege's fate and current whereabouts are unknown, but it is implied by her second daughter Alysane that she is alive.

During Jon's stand-off with undead Viserion, he avoids a burst of dragon fire by hiding behind a small rock. However, this would result in Jon's death, as Viserion's fire has been shown to be capable of burning through castle walls (and even through the Wall).
