Come what may in the future, the main series of "Fast & Furious"is coming to an end, with"Fast X"now in theaters. It's been billed from the start as a two-part finale to the Fast Saga, with" Fast & Furious 11 "teed up by the film's cliffhanger ending. As for what's to come in the presumed finale (assuming it doesn't actually become a trilogy)? That remains uncertain, but for those who have seen the movie, we know a couple of things for sure. 1) Dom and the gang have unfinished business withJason Momoa'sDante.2) The Rock is returning as Luke Hobbs to finish his business with the franchise's new big baddie.

To the uninitiated,Vin Diesel’s blatant disregard for the laws of gravity and physics represents a full scale assault on the senses, reason, and logic in its effort to bring audiences down to its star’s lunkheaded level.

We begin with an extended flashback to what is generally regarded as this motor-head franchise’s high point with the Bank Vault chase fromFast Five.Dante(Jason Momoa) is revealed to be the son of the drug lordHerman Reyes,whose money Dom (Vin Diesel) and company stole, and who died at the end of that movie.Turns out Dante has spent the ensuing decade, and the next four films, plotting his revenge and studying Dom and his extended family to make them suffer for the death of his father.

Incredibly, "The Fast and the Furious"came out 22 years ago and has gone on to spawn multiple sequels that will finally come to an end with"Fast X"and the recently announced" Fast and the Furious 11, "both directed byLouis Leterrier.Future spin-offs are always a possibility, but for now, the increasingly complex storyline involving Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), and the rest of their death-defying familia has reached the finish line.

Judging from the trailer for "Fast X,"the latest entry is revisiting and reinventing some of the massive action set pieces from the previous films.
