Overall, the violence is ranges from mild to moderate. Most of the violence comes down to punching and Anime-type fights with over-the-top abilities. Blood is generally never used. There is one scene in the chimera ant arc where a man punches a ant, resulting in some blood spray but this is played in a comedic way as the blood lands on the kids and they start laughing and saying "eww".

Mild fighting and action shown throughout the series, the whole show revolves around a preteen named Gon who goes on adventures to find his Dad who has become a Hunter.

The show plays off action sequences in a light-hearted way.

After the Chimera Ant arc, they introduce a character that can grant wishes. If anyone denies her request it is implied that she would banish them into a pit of lava.

A country owned by a terrorist organization creates and sells drugs, however this is brief and not a major part.

Some cast members are shown drinking, but it's not frequent.

There are a few intense fights.

There are some intense scenes but some aren't shown on screen/implied/or not in detail.

The show generally refrains from sketchy or violent content and focuses more on the adventures.

Much less violent than the 1999 version of Hunter x hunter and less dark.

There's a lot of tension in each major event.

While the beginning of the story arc is light hearted, the end can be intense and stressful for the main characters.
