New medical drama Watson starring Morris Chestnut, which premieres January 26 following the AFC Championship game, will move to its regular time period beginning Sunday, Feb. 16 at 9 p.m. Originally scheduled for the 10 p.m. slot, Watson is now sandwiched between Tracker at 8 p.m and The Equalizer, which caps off the night in its new time period at 10 p.m.

This sounds a fun one. The synopsis reads: “Paul Rovia, an oversized jockey, seeks redemption after causing a major racing accident that gets him suspended from the sport for two years. Desperate to compete in the Grand National again, Paul teams up with Kate O’Leary and her wild Centaur named Chariot. Paul and Chariot clash at first but eventually form an unstoppable duo, taking the racing world by storm.”

The Exchange is launching worldwide sales on the movie at the upcoming American Film Market. The sales deal was negotiated by Brian O’Shea on behalf of The Exchange and by Lastine Entertainment Lawon behalf of the filmmakers.

Billy Magnussen is used to playing a beefcake. His first big job was on the soap opera As the World Turns. In Into the Woods, his version of Rapunzel’s Prince wore leather pants even when riding a horse. He served as the resident hunk among the ensembles in Game Night and The Big Short. These castings, flattering as they might be, haven’t always reflected the man himself, a classically trained actor who has a Tony nomination (for 2013’s Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike).

But in his latest role, Magnussen, 39, finally has found something a little more relatable, one that simultaneously fuels his character’s ego and leaves him plagued by self-doubt.

The satirical series The Franchise centers around the ill-fated production of a fictional superhero film whose big-budget snafus (an emergency pro-feminism rewrite, disputes over which actors get the biggest superpowers) poke fun at Hollywood’s IP obsession.

Just in time for a Halloween binge, Hysteria! is now available on Peacock and, having seen most of the series already, I can definitely say that it's worth your time. An 80s-set horror story that doesn't feel like it's focused on nostalgia, Hysteria! has a great cast with great chemistry, and it really does a great job of building up its characters, including its supporting cast, which features Bruce Campbell as the chief of police in a town where satanic panic takes hold. The DC Universe has numerous projects in the pipeline, including a TV series centered on Booster Gold. Currently, we have little information about the show other than its announcement, but James Gunn has stated that just because something is announced doesn’t guarantee it will be released.

A few months ago, credible sources began reporting that Eternals star Kumail Nanjiani was cast in the role, which disappointed some fans who felt he didn’t physically match the character.

The “Ozark,” “Horrible Bosses,” and “Game Night” star puts on a domestic-terrorist face (and hat) in the teaser for Netflix Christmas movie “Carry-On.” It’s, ah, not exactly “Elf.”

In “Carry-On,” before Bateman can terrorize a Christmas Eve flight, he first must make Taron Egerton’s job a living hell. Oh, and he might just kill the young Tsa agent’s significant other, played by Sofia Carson, as well.

“One bag for one life,” is Bateman’s blackmail offer.

Basically, Bateman targets Egerton to let his mysterious suitcase through the security scanners and onto the airplane. Kyle Chandler has boarded HBO’s Lanterns and will star as Hal Jordan. The announcement comes hot on the heels of Aaron Pierre’s casting as John Stewart.

“The series follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland,” reads HBO’s synopsis.

Lanterns is based on the DC comic Green Lantern, with Chris Mundy, Emmy winner Damon Lindelof (Watchmen), and Eisner Award winner Tom King (Mister Miracle) writing the series. James Hawes is directing episodes one and two. Mundy, Lindelof, King, and Hawes are the executive producers.

HBO announced today that Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler have officially joined the cast of the upcoming DC series Lanterns. Aaron Pierre will play John Stewart and Kyle Chandler has been cast as Hal Jordan.

The anticipated series follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.

Lanterns is an HBO series in association with Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios. Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King will co-write the series based on the DC comic Green Lantern.

James Hawes directs the first two episodes. The series is executive produced by Mundy, Lindelof, King, and Hawes.

Anybody down for a Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness reunion? No, we've not got confirmation of a Doctor Strange 3 directed by Sam Raimi just yet (although we do live in hope) — but we are getting word that one of the stars of the Evil Dead director's first foray into the MCU could be about to team up on a new horror thriller. According to Deadline, Rachel McAdams is circling a starring role in Send Help, a 20th Century Studios chiller on which Raimi will serve as both producer and director.

Rachel McAdams is in talks to star in Sam Raimi’s Send Help, the horror-thriller from 20th Century Studios, which he is producing and directing.

Sources tell us that these negotiations are in early stages, and nothing is definite at this point. The news follows Deadline’s exclusive earlier in July, which broke the news that Raimi had boarded the project not officially greenlit by the studio.

Billed as a two-hander horror-thriller set on an island, the story is somewhere between Rob Reiner’s Stephen King adaptation Misery and Robert Zemeckis’ classic Castaway. Send Help is based on an original script by Baywatch scribes Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. Zainab Azizi will also produce under the Raimi Productions banner, and the film is expected to nab a theatrical release.

Julie Bowen is returning to TV in Peacock’s “Hysteria!” and things are getting spooky, that is, if they’re even real.

In the teaser for “Hysteria!,” released Monday, the “Modern Family” star goes about her day cooking and cleaning as a 1980s housewife until a strange interruption causes the lights to flicker and her house to shake.

By the time the event stops, Bowen thinks she’s in the clear — until she spots the face of a demon in her microwave, which proceeds to splatter into red globs.

Kinds of Kindness stars Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons are at it again! The duo is teaming up with Poor Things filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos for the filmmaker’s next feature-length film project, Bugonia. The Will Tracy-written film arrives in theaters on November 7, 2025.

Billy Magnussen is playing the role of Agent Pleakley and he was spotted in costume on set on Monday (February 5) in Oahu, Hawaii.

In the Disney animated movie, Pleakley was an alien sent to Earth by the United Galactic Federation to prevent Dr. Jumba Jookiba from harming anything or anyone on Earth while they look for Stitch.

It was believed by many that Billy would just be voicing the role of Pleakley and the character would be created using CGI, but it appears the character might be human after all.

Billy is best known for roles in movies like Into the Woods, Game Night, Aladdin, and No Time to Die, as well as the series Made for Love.
