To my knowledge, this series was not screened on Australian television in the 60s or 70s. If it was screened, it was out of my reach. For most of my life I would simply not watch subtitled TV shows or movies...in 2022 I changed that view. My 2022 viewings got going on a rocky start but right from the word go - I was impressed by the opening episode (The Invisible Challenge).

Well presented with a great story. Played totally straight faced which I like a lot. This is better than Ultraman (1966) and better than the 70s/80s/90s Ultraman TV shows. Toy story. The miniature effects here are terrible. Perhaps it was episodes like this that prevented this series from being better known outside of Japan?? Toy story Part 2. The miniature effects here are even worse than Part 1....because the battle was filmed in the studio tank. Water is often the killer of good miniature effects. These sort of battles are not what this series is all about. The later 70s/80s/90s Ultraman shows did this shit, Ultraseven is too good for this shit.
