The Fugitive (1966-67) Season 4 Comments (by StuOz)
Not Sci-Fi so why is this list here?? The Fugituve might not be Sci-Fi but so many Sci-Fi TV shows were influenced by it (The Invaders, Land of the Giants, Planet of the Apes, Logan's Run, The Incredible Hulk, etc) so for this reason The Fugiitve gets special permission to be here.

- CreatorRoy HugginsStarsDavid JanssenWilliam ConradBarry MorseA doctor, wrongly convicted for a murder he didn't commit, escapes custody and must stay ahead of the police to find the real killer.Season four is the best. Two new producers and one of them worked on Star Trek (1966) and City Beneath the Sea (1971). Was QM pushed into the background much like Gerry Anderson was pushed into the background in Space 1999 season two?? They added different stock music cues this season, mainly from The Outer Limits and Richard LaSalle films. But it is more than the music. This season has adventure and less romance. This season has more of the One-Armed-Man. The 1966 cars look better. The B&W seasons are sometimes very good but sometimes as boring as batshit. However, not all share my views here, in fact many on IMDb trashed season four! Well *uck them! I guess this means season four is my own private little wonder world.
- DirectorGerald MayerStarsDavid JanssenHope LangePeter Mark RichmanAfter Dr. Kimble recovers at an Indian reservation from a gunshot wound, a local deputy pursues him through the desert to make amends for a past mistake.Crap start to the season as the talents of Peter Mark Richman are wasted. First seen in 1993.

- DirectorGerald MayerStarsDavid JanssenRobert DrivasEduard FranzEmployed as a building super, Dr. Kimble befriends a troubled youth in the building who steals a key from him to attack a woman in her apartment. This episode contains one of the most memorable moments in the whole 120 episodes. A very low-key moment where a woman says to Kimble that he has no troubles in the world. Kimble responds with silence and sits down on some steps all alone. The camera pulls back and the music cue captures the moment perfectly. First seen in 1993.
- DirectorJames NeilsonStarsDavid JanssenLin McCarthyJoe MarossDr. Kimble is working as a hired hand on a failing ranch while the local sheriff is looking for a recently escaped murderer. Meanwhile, back in Stafford, a national newspaper publisher offers a $10,000 reward for Kimble's capture. The one about the very slow girl on the farm. First seen in 1993.
- DirectorGerd OswaldStarsDavid JanssenHarry TownesKim DarbyWhile working for a small town veterinarian, Dr. Kimble comes across the sick baby of an unwed mother whose religious father doesn't believe in medicine. As Kimble secretly treats the baby, a jealous dismissed deputy discovers his true identity.Outstanding location filming. First seen in 1993.
- DirectorRobert DouglasStarsDavid JanssenTim ConsidineNed GlassKimble is blinded in a fire after fighting with the one-armed man, and has to depend on a young blackmailing photographer to help him.A true classic that is the FIRST classic of season four but not liked by everybody. First seen in 1993
- DirectorGerd OswaldStarsDavid JanssenRoy ThinnesPilar SeuratWhile driving through vineyards, Dr. Kimble and two passengers are shot by a sniper killing one who was a union organizer. Kimble can identify the sniper but the police and powerful owners of the town winery conspire to keep him quiet. The Fugitive meets The Invaders. First seen in 1993.
- DirectorWilliam HaleStarsDavid JanssenDenny MillerCollin Wilcox PaxtonWhile working at a carnival, Dr. Kimble befriends a childlike mentally-disabled man who is wanted by the sheriff for fleeing before he could be sent to an institution.Lesser episode. A very memorable guest star from Gilligan's Island wrecks it. First seen in 1993 or 1994.
- DirectorLawrence DobkinStarsDavid JanssenJoanna MoorePhillip PineWhile working as a bartender, Dr. Kimble sees the one-armed man in a live news broadcast. After arriving on the scene Kimble chases the man which causes a woman to be hit by a car. While treating her at a hospital, he discovers she has had a relationship with the one-armed man and might be able to tell Kimble where he is.A classic. First seen in 1993 or 1994.
- DirectorChristian NybyStarsDavid JanssenDean JaggerNancy MaloneDr. Kimble is arrested after a fight breaks out when the fishing boat he works on returns to a heated dockworkers' strike.A classic. Richard LaSalle music used in act four. First seen in 1993 or 1994.
- DirectorJud TaylorStarsDavid JanssenLou AntonioBruce DernAs a posse of sheriff deputies pursue Dr. Kimble on foot in the desert, he is rescued by outlaw bikers who want to use him to settle a score with local law enforcement.Bruce Dern and Lou Antonio. Dern also appeared in a few of the B&Ws but Devil's Disciples made a bigger impact on me than the B&Ws. Antonio also appeared in a few B&Ws but once again - this was better. IMDb reviewers bashed this episode?? First seen in 1993 or 1994.
- DirectorJoseph PevneyStarsDavid JanssenLudwig DonathJulie SommarsThe police are looking for a young fugitive who was dating the daughter of a Hungarian family that Dr. Kimble is staying with. As the police stake out their residence, Dr. Kimble discovers her father is also running from a crime he was accused of.First seen in 1993 or 1994 but not liked until 2024. The storyline involving immigrants into the USA was meaningless to me in the 1990s but it has great meaning to me in 2024. Also, the hour has great filming locations and top guest stars!
- DirectorJesse HibbsStarsDavid JanssenJames DalyElizabeth AllenKimble saves his Boss ' life, garnering the ranch owner's powerful protection but Kimble doesn't want his favors, because the owner's a hit-man gone legit. With Lt. Gerard closing in, the wealthy retired assassin sends the detective in the opposite direction from the fugitive, into a trap where Gerard will be taken off the hunt for good.A classic. This was viewed before I viewed all the B&W Fugitive episodes. The coming together of Gerard and Kimble seemed like a big event in the series as I had not seen this happen before. But in reality it had happened a few times in the B&Ws. When I eventually found all the B&Ws, with Kimble and Gerard coming together, the impact was lesser than it should have been because in my eyes "The Evil Men Do" did this first. Very impressive use of Outer Limits cues. This was screened at a family get together and the family hated it. First seen in 1993 or 1994.
- DirectorJames SheldonStarsDavid JanssenJames BroderickEdward AsnerWhile fleeing the police through a forest, Dr. Kimble finds an armed criminal with a bullet wound. The criminal guides him to a cabin owned by a woman who is suspicious of their stories.I hated this episode on first viewings. However, a 2024 viewing was enjoyed. First seen in 1993 or 1994.
- DirectorLewis AllenStarsDavid JanssenJohn LarchJoseph CampanellaPolice drag in Kimble when a co-worker robs the liquor store the fugitive's clerking in. Some police suspect Kimble's involved, but their chief knows he's not - because his alienated son is the stick-up man. To repair their relationship the desperate father needs to get his son off. Will he feed Kimble to his wolves to do so?Beau Bridges is another cast member from the previously mentioned Village of the Giants (1965). First seen in 1993 or 1994.
- DirectorLeo PennStarsDavid JanssenAnne FrancisCharles DrakeWhile working as a deck hand on a charter boat, a company believes the skipper left the country after embezzling cash and securities. The police decide to use an agent as the boat's replacement skipper since the next passenger is the embezzler's wife who intends to meet up with him in Mexico. The police also decide to investigate the mysterious deckhand since he has no background.Charles Bronson and Anne Francis. Too slow in sections but still a fine hour. First seen in 1993 or 1994.
- DirectorMurray GoldenStarsDavid JanssenJack WardenHarold GouldA hated construction company owner, with a heart condition, recognizes Kimble and forces him to be his office assistant because of his doctor skills.First seen in 1993 or 1994.
- DirectorJohn Meredyth LucasStarsDavid JanssenEileen HeckartLinden ChilesAfter being shot, Kimble is reunited with Sister Veronica, whose help he needs to track down a lead about the one-armed man.First seen in 1993 or 1994 but not really liked until 2024. The third and final episode about the Sister of the Church but also about how people behave once they know they are about to die (which is what drew me to Breaking Bad). This hour features a knockout blue car.
- DirectorGerald MayerStarsDavid JanssenGabriel DellLynda Day GeorgeWhile attending a baseball game, a woman Dr. Kimble is sitting next to is told that she has a phone call and is kidnapped. As Kimble is the only one who saw the kidnapper, her rich father coerces him into helping find his daughter.Great guest cast. All of them are great. Great script. First seen in in 1994.
- DirectorJohn Meredyth LucasStarsDavid JanssenWilliam WindomGeraldine BrooksDr. Kimble meets with a fraternity brother who is now a professor of sleep research at a university and has seen the one-armed man working there. The professor has an elaborate plan to extract proof from the man that he killed Kimble's wife. One of the best. Outstanding use of Twilight Zone Jerry Goldsmith cues. First seen in 1994.
- DirectorLewis AllenStarsDavid JanssenJack LordMarlyn MasonA beautiful woman seduces Kimble as part of a plan to have her lover kill him, and his rich invalid wife, so they can get married. What a waste of Jack Lord. He was so good in another QM series - The Invaders - but this was poor casting. First seen in 1994.
- DirectorRichard BenedictStarsDavid JanssenJames FarentinoPercy RodriguesWhile waiting to leave a small town in Montana, Dr. Kimble is spotted by the authorities and arrested. He is cleared for having stolen a truck but the sheriff decides to jail him for having resisted arrest and suspects he's not who he says he is. While Kimble is held in jail, another prisoner determines his true identity.Very good. First seen in 1994.
- DirectorGerald MayerStarsDavid JanssenGilbert RolandMichael AnsaraAn immigrant cigar maker's son is accosted by neighborhood bullies and calls the police to put a stop to the harassment. The only witness to the incident is Dr. Kimble whose face seems oddly familiar to the officers.Richard LaSalle music lifts things. The backlot street is almost the star of the hour. IMDb reviewers bashed this episode??? First seen in 1994.
