There's a chance this is simply for some kind of Holiday-themed ad campaign, but withDeadpool and Wolverinealready available onDisney+and Blu-ray, we'd say a new Special is more likely.

LoganstarDafne Keenmade her surprise return as Laura/X-23 in this summer's Deadpool & Wolverine. By the time the credits rolled, she'd returned home on Earth-10005 and the stage was set for her to likely suit up in the next Avengers movies.

2024 has been a great year so far, with brilliant animated films released this year. While chatting to Variety,Reynoldsrevealed that he is currently writing a new project forLevyto direct that he would once again co-star in with Jackman.

“I’m spending the year writing,” said the actor. “I’m writing a movie for myself, Hugh [Jackman] and Shawn [Levy] to do that is not Marvel.”

What it will be is unclear, as Reynolds declined to share any plot details. There's a chance it could turn out to be another comic book-style adventure, but the report notes that Reynolds' "enthusiasm hinted at something fresh and unexpected, which he will work on over the next 12 months."

On the list of highest-grossing Marvel Cinematic Universe movies,Deadpool and Wolverinecomes in at 7, having recently overtakenIron Man 3's ($1.215 billion) worldwide haul.

Marvel Studios hasn't officially announced a follow-up, but there are rumors that a direct sequel is in the early planning stages. Even if it doesn't come to pass,Ryan ReynoldsandHugh Jackmanwill almost certainly return forAvengers: Secret Wars.

This past weekend, the movie reached $699.4 million at the international box office and $635.3 million domestically. Now, with a $1,334.6 billion total worldwide, it's managed to passStar Wars: The Last Jedito become the 20th highest-grossing movie of all time.

That's a phenomenal result forDeadpool & Wolverineand one which cements its place in history as one of the biggest blockbusters ever.

With any luck, this means Marvel Studios will make more R-Rated movies when the occasion calls for it. TheDeadpoolthreequel may have earned more with a PG-13 rating but it wouldn't have been the same and benefitted greatly from being able to push the boundaries.

AnotherDeadpool& Wolverine deleted scene has been officially released today and this one shows more of the budding romance between Hunter B-15 and Peter.

They share a kiss before the former returns to theTvaand, when Peter enters his apartment, he declares he's in love to new roommates, Deadpool Corps members Kidpool and Headpool.

It's a fun scene, but one we're not surprised ended up on the cutting room floor. Hunter B-15 is a pretty serious character and a romance with Peter somewhat cheapens that. It also doesn't make a ton of sense that these two dangerous members of the Corps would be left to roam free on Earth-10005.

The Tva will likely play a role inAvengers: DoomsdayandAvengers: Secret Wars,even if it's just to offer some exposition about the Multiverse and whyKang's Variants no longer pose a threat.
