Sandra Schnieders has developed a broad range of musical talent in her
many years as a music professional. An active composer, conductor,
orchestrator and copyist, Sandra is a graduate of the UCLA Film Scoring
program and possesses a Masters Degree in Conducting. Recently, Sandra
was chosen by audition from a number of Los Angeles composers to
participate in the Society of Composers and Lyricists Mentorship
Program. Known for her excellent ear and musical storytelling, she has
written and orchestrated music commissioned by several performers in
Los Angeles. She has also assisted with music preparation for major

recent Jackie Evancho album Dream With Me, and the soundtrack to the
movie The Other Guys composed by Jon Brion. Sandra was fortunate to
intern with and be trained by Reprise Music (the music preparation
division at NBC Universal Studios), whose clients include composers
Danny Elfman and Thomas Newman.
As a professional choral musician, Sandra has been fortunate to perform with internationally known orchestras and conductors: the Berlin Philharmonic at Carnegie Hall with Claudio Abbado, the New York Philharmonic at Lincoln Center with Kurt Masur, the Philadelphia Orchestra with Wolfgang Sawallisch and the Orchestra of St. Luke's with Joseph Flummerfelt and the Westminster Choir. She has appeared with the Berkshire Opera Festival in Mozart's The Magic Flute, the Spoleto U.S.A. Arts Festival in Puccini's Il Trittico, and in the American premier of Kurt Weill's Die Bürgschaft, recorded on EMI records. She has been a soprano section leader for the Los Angeles Bach Festival Choir and a member of the Don Brinegar Singers.
Committed to education, Sandra is a frequent guest conductor and music lecturer in the Los Angeles area. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband.
