*First the story is not common rom com and not for everyone if it's for you you will get it in single episode.
*But certainly relatable to real highschool life and very close to reality.
*Characters are realistic, distinct and interesting
*The distorted view of protagonists hikigaya hatchiman is clearly a intelligent loner.
*The three main characters show 3 different perspective of same school life (you will notice if you are good observer /are in high school)
*Just watch single episode and you will get if it's for you.
*** Review after watching its 2 seasons anime+reading manga till chapter 75+ reading novels.

Oregairu manages to move away from the norm and become something really special. His teacher forces him to join a club that is supposed to help people solve their problems. Now the story revolves around the club helping with people's requests and problems. Most of the time the art was excellent. The backgrounds have been beautifully created and filled with vibrant colors. The character designs were very well done and suited to the characteristics of the characters. There was a short animated interlude in one or two episodes. But overall it's pretty cool. The sound quality was excellent. The soundtrack complements the anime very well. The opening song, "Yukitoki", is quite infectious and I found myself humming it in the shower for days after listening to it. I'm afraid of the end. It wasn't as good as it could have been, but it was enough for a conclusion.

Who are all the fans of hachiman and yukino??
Well not only them, all the characters have been beautifully made, waiting to watch complete 3rd season(watched 1st episode from 3rd season yesterday) 1st season had little less quality in animation but it took to huge/high level of animation in 3rd season!!! Just lived it a lot
I'm at loss for words but still for hachiman I would push myself to write something.
First of all, It's not your cliche, chessy high school romance drama. It's something that penetrates your heart gives you really relatable moments and present a realistic outlook of the society and a wide spectrum of opinions will be delivered at you.
If you're stereotype and judging the show without watching then I advice you to watch and then reflect on your presumptions. I'm sure it won't be the same as before.
After watching 100+ animes yet Hachiman hikigaya is my favorite one and will always be. I've never gotten close to any other characters as close as I've gotten to hachiman. Main character depict the story of a lot of guys. Who are skeptical to relationship and find themselves hard to make friends. A lot of people say that the show is boring and story is subpar but that's the thing they don't follow the philosophy of hachiman. The cornerstone of the anime are the characters and there way of living and there approach toward the life.
Both lead female characters are also really endearing and at points really relatable.
Soundtracks are really really good and I had myself humming it for days and still do.
Only one drawback is that the first season animation kinda sucks but your patience will be highly rewarded.
But nonetheless, I am not going to love it any less.
Wish could give it more than 10 ratings.
Arigato!

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) may seem like a generic Romance-comedy anime at first, something you may not appreciate, but I highly recommend that you watch the first one or two episodes before judging on it. This is not an anime where a social outcast suddenly finds himself popular with girls or anything. It is totally not, one of the titles of My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU is "My youth romantic comedy is wrong as I expected", which is a parody to your usual romance remedy.
The protagonist has a very different twist to him, even the side characters are build up and the comedy is very entertaining.
The best slice of life / rom-com or for that matter even one of my favourite anime of all time.

Now I'll admit the first time I saw the sypnosis for this anime I thought Oregairu would be a stereotypical romcom anime. Just think about it. There are two female main characters and a male character. Male character is an outcast. One of the female characters is the school's most beautiful girl. How original. But when I finished the first episode of this anime. I realized that this was something else. Something that manages to stray away from the norm and become something really special.
Story- Now the story centers around Hikigaya Hachiman. A high school student who is shunned by pretty much the whole school.Luckily this suits him perfectly as he prefers to be a loner and doesn't want to make friends. But his "happy" life soon crumbles as his teacher forces him to join a club which is supposed to help people with their problems.Even worse, the club also has the smart and beautiful "ice-cold Beauty" Yukino Yukinoshita.(nicknamed that for her cold personality). Hilarity ensues. Now the story basically revolves on the club helping out on peoples' requests and problems. Although the problem's are simple the way the main characters solve the problem isn't. The comedy usually revolves around Hachiman and Yukino's witty dialogue and sarcasm.(which is really funny btw).
Art- The art was good most of the time. Backgrounds were filled with radiant colors and were nicely drawn.Character designs were also done well and fit well with the personalities of the characters. There was an episode or two where there was a small drop in animation. But all in all it's pretty good.
Sound- The sound was quite impressive. The soundtrack fits in really well with the anime. The opening "Yukitoki", is a really catchy song and I had myself humming to it in the shower for days after I listened to it. The ending, I'm afraid. Wasn't as well but is adequate for an ending.
Character-Now this is where Oregairu excels the most. Let's begin with Hikigaya Hachiman. Hachiman's twisted view of life and society are definitely one of the most captivating view's of life that i've ever seen. His views of life actually affected my way of viewing life. His monologues are also enjoyable and show off a bit more of his personality.
Yuki Yukinoshita is almost the complete opposite of Hachiman. She is smart, beautiful, and rich. But the interesting thing is. She doesn't have friends either. But unlike Hachiman her reason for not having friends is her icy demeanor and being too perfect. She unlike Hachiman believes that change is a good thing. Her smart remarks are funny and her quarrels with Hachiman are hilarious. Over all she is also a nice character.
Yui Yuigahama at the start would seem to be a completely stereotypical character.Although I couldn't say I loved her as much as I loved the other two main characters I would have to admit that without her in this anime this anime wouldn't be as good. She serves as the glue that keeps the club together. Her character does develop to be more independent and helpful.
In the end Oregairu really did turn out to be a good series. What I thought would be a stereotypical romcom anime turned out to be something more than that. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who watches anime.

Quite depressing for a 'comedy' anime. While there are some parts that made me laugh, many of it was very self-pitying. It definitely isn't your usual harem, so it's worth a watch. May not be for everyone but was still an interesting watch for me.
Totsuka Saika is the best, by the way.
This show is a difficult one. While it certainly has a refreshing lineup of protagonists in the familiar high-school setting and manages to display them in a way that is by no means bad in terms of animation or score, the show has some problems.
The majority of the storyline only works because every single character in the setting is lying, secretive, and maintaining a charade that might be, to some extent, typical for Japanese society. It is somewhat painful to watch them trying to keep this masquerade without breaking apart. Hikigaya, the misanthropic protagonist, uses a combination of sociopathic manipulation and self-humiliation to pit the people around him in situations where they can somehow resolve dead-lock situations in this 'game'. These resolutions do not involve closure though, or finally being honest with each other. It allows people to keep moving without having to lift their mask or being true with themselves.
What's most irritating is that the protagonist doesn't seem to have an actual reason to do that. It's not even that he seems to draw some kind of fun or gratification out of it. Until very late in the show he just doesn't seem to care.
The show tries very hard - too hard - to be deep, secretive and mysterious. This does not mean that it is a bad watch. What kept me going was a number of interesting side characters and storylines that sparked enough interest to see where it was going. But make no mistake: while its name might suggest otherwise, neither "comedy" nor "romance" play any major part in this show. With a significant portion of social criticism and cynism in its core it is neither wholesome nor heartwarming.

This isn't for everyone. The main character is very very harsh on himself and on others. If you can't understand his philosophy then he will seem horrible and neither him nor the story will make any logical sense. If you, however are able to understand AND relate a bit his philosophy you are on your way. This anime is fantastic. It is a masterpiece. It is very very deep but unless you pay very close attention to the dialogue and the reactions you will never understand anything. It is still a decent romcom anyway but it doesn't make a lot of sense. But if you understand the constant metaphors then you will be shocked on how good the story is. My recommendation would be to blink as little as possible and to think for yourself after every important bit. But if your smart enough to understand everything anyway then more power to you. This series is heartwarming, thrilling and it got one of the best, deep and well written main characters in any story anywhere on earth. This is a true masterpiece.

Well you read the title. Think well when watching or you won't get anything from this. It's not your typical "Saenai heroine no sodatekata" or "Toradora" fun lighthearted anime. It's pure highschool drama about.

Yes, this was a good show that was interesting and well written for the most part. That's why I gave it as high of a score as I did. However, this is the most convoluted show of all time, none of the things that anything says related to identy or emotions or feelings have any meaning. It's exactly like when they are at the meeting and the people say all that business talk but don't mean anything (a reference from the show), but it's with emotions instead. It's not like you have to be emotionally intelligent to understand it, it's just overly complicated and convoluted. The actual story makes sense, but the words that come out of peoples mouths are just there to make the writers sound smart. The ending was also just ok.

Last season is big cliff-hanger but very good shows who student which are lonely behave.
For my personal view or experience I think first loner they try to along with everyone but then things not work out the relationship is just bust with the humiliation that is hard to survive which happen with hero as he reject by the girl.
And may be more but this many person live these condition sometime it is temporary and sometime this is nature that develop with the failure that try to raise question here how did a loner adjust with group when got a opportunity

Relatable to the loners out there.
Even though the show grows up with you, which is exactly what you want.
There is this beautiful interaction which adds to the beauty of the show.
Top notch.

I began watching this anime after hearing the song "no friends," which implies that Hachiman is single and that I should associate with him. And I was absolutely off the mark. He is always surrounded by a large number of girls, to whom he pays little attention, with the exception of one girl who pays no attention to anyone. It was unpleasant because a nasty, arrogant youngster drew the attention of every girl in the series, including his teacher. He is obviously not single. He acts as though he enjoys isolation. Most people enjoy these shows because they are already in a relationship and are receiving a lot of attention from ladies while pretending to enjoy being alone.
I was greatly moved when viewing the first few episodes, and I kept watching to the end simply to torture myself even more. This show might make you depressed if you don't have or have very little interaction with girls.

This is the kind of slice and life anime that deals with the usual high school plot sequences with more complex lines. That does not mean the series is difficult to watch. Actually, it means the anime is rather fun because there is never a dull moment. Instead, of using the same highschool drama we see in anime everyday, oregairu takes a different, weird approach and I love it. The backbone of the series is Hachiman. He is one of the best anime characters ever. This guy takes realism to another level and he does not bow down to the Disney Princess-like romance animes with Romeo and Juliet characters. Instead, he uses facts behind every action he takes. He's cunning, sharp and so intelligent. Basically, he's very relatable. As a guy myself, I was really impressed by the perception of Hachiman over his society.

A Great anime. Not one for everyone, some may not find it good as it is a bit different then the typical rom/com anime you will find out there but this one is surely a must watch. Try watching the anime for first 2 to 3 episode, you will be able to figure out if this is your type or not.
