As of this writing only 11 episodes have been released, yet the latest season of the Monogatari Series has proven to be nothing short of a masterpiece.
It feels like the series never left, even 5 later, its right back in the thick of it as studio SHAFT maintains a high degree of quality, witty cuts and music that it always has, albeit with much reduced dialogue cards so its easy on the eyes, more palatable and much less arduous to catch the text.
We get much of the beloved cast back in very smooth, tasteful scenarios, not just delving into blatant fanservice and the story is always the focus and principle cast will show-up where they're required.
As far as episode 11 i have thoroughly enjoyed this season, as it effortlessly expands the character arcs in organic fashion against some interesting events, giving some cool moments and some very cute, funny and emotional ones too!
Every episode has become a cinematic revelatory if it wasn't since the beginning and its not just owing to the widescreen aspect ratio.
Monogatari fans are in bliss, Off & Monster season is Monogatari at its best. 4:25am.
