Iowa history: Iowan converts 60-foot twin silos into house
you can find them at the end of this country road for more than three decades. They've housed grain soon they'll have *** new job, You know like anything when you start you don't expect it after working 40 years as *** general contractor. Leonard has, it is taking on his biggest project converting these old grain silos into his home. Modern conveniences are everywhere here on all five floors. The trick is renovating the interior without changing the exterior from the outside. The silos look pretty much the same today as they did 30 years ago except for one major difference. The deck, it's 60 ft in the air, the highest in the county and provides *** spectacular view. I I just hate to see him. They're tearing *** lot of them down. I think I'll get *** lot of fun out of these. You have *** pretty decent view here. You have *** fantastic view. We have the elevator, the little white elevator you see there's veil that's eight miles away and you can pretty well general surrounding thing covers about 8 to 10 miles has it says he appreciates architecture, especially old styles. He describes this project as early american lazy but the work here is anything but easy has it and his crew make almost everything from scratch.
