“Particularly on winding country roads, you can clearly feel that the steering is even better tuned than in its predecessor,” says Porsche brand ambassador Walter Röhrl. “It instils even greater confidence in the car because it responds more calmly from the centre position without losing any of its directness. The shorter gear ratio also significantly enhances driving pleasure on country roads.” Available to order soon. Transforming a historic 911 rally car with inspiration from the hippy era When French artist and racing driver Arthur Mathieu heard that the theme for the latest edition of the Total Look Rallies series was ‘flower power’, he knew he had to get involved. With a passion for both Porsche and art, the project was a perfect fit, says Arthur. It led to him borrowing a classic 1974 Porsche 911 3.0 RS from Team Joffroy Automobile with a view to creating a vibrant, floral masterpiece that paid homage to the free-spirited ‘flower power’ of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Fascination Turbo! Everyone who has experienced#Porscheturbo technology has their own personal story. Take Timo Bernhard for example. The Porsche Brand Ambassador shares his memories: “I sometimes take racing cars from the Porsche Museum out for a drive to experience at first hand how the turbo engine developed. In the brutal 917/30 Spyder or the 935/78 ‘Moby Dick’, the turbo feels like a power switch. The Group C 962, meanwhile, is incredibly powerful, but more drivable. The beginning, my highlights, and delving into history – all this is what ‘turbo’ means to me.” Read more about what ‘Turbo’ means to the racing drivers and engineers at Porsche:https://lnkd.in/enR-yJ68 #TurboMoment

The new 99X Electric (GEN3 Evo) inherits Porsche’s most successful formula sports car to date: in its GEN3 version, the Porsche 99X Electric won the drivers’ world championship two years in a row – with Jake Dennis in 2022/2023, and with Pascal Wehrlein in 2023/2024. The concept remains the same: per the regulations, the available energy is restricted. This forces the teams and their drivers to optimise the efficiency of the cars across all areas. Components developed by the manufacturer were allowed to be changed for the GEN3 Evo. Porsche’s development department in Weissach took the opportunity to exploit the optimisation potential identified over the past two seasons – particularly in terms of drive. The homologation of the manufacturer components is valid for two seasons once again. Find out more:https://lnkd.in/egYpSezR

Porsche AG continued on its planned course in the first nine months of 2024. As expected, in particular the challenging economic environment and the comprehensive renewal of the product portfolio had an impact on key figures at the end of the third quarter. The sports car manufacturer is nevertheless confirming its forecast for the full year of 2024 – provided that the framework conditions do not worsen significantly. The Taycan Turbo GT is not only the most powerful production # vehicle is 47-year-old Bruno Correia, who has plenty of experience, having made the switch from go-karting to professional motorsport in 1994. He secured the class win in Formula Ford his first time competing as a 17-year-old rookie and clinched the title in the Spanish version of Formula Renault two years later. He became a driving trainer following an active career and then acquired his first position as safety car driver in the FIA World Touring Car Championship in France in 2009. Correia, who also drives the medical car in Formula 1, has been working to ensure safety on the world’s racecourses ever since. What must it feel like to be able to call a vehicle like this your company car? “There’s nothing like it, of course,” says Correia with an amused look on his face. “The safety car is a key element that the race management activates whenever action needs to be taken on the course.” Any time safety hazards such as a broken-down vehicle, water, or debris need to be removed from the track before the race can resume safely. And that’s where Correia comes in. “My job is to take control of the situation again.” The full story:https://lnkd.in/eEfMnSG8 __ Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach package (WLTP): Electrical consumption combined: 21.3 – 20.6 kWh/100 km; CO₂ emissions combined: 0 g/km; CO₂ class: A; Status 10/2024
