These are certainly heady times for women in American politics. Never before have we witnessed a woman of color win a major-party nomination. There is more excitement, buzz, hope and magic around the Harris-Walz ticket than there has been around any presidential candidate in recent history. Yes, Barack Obama generated major buzz, but he didn’t enjoy anywhere near the emboldening love-fest-like atmosphere we are now witnessing with democrats and V.P. Harris. It is quite the spectacle. The adjectives “fab”, “dope”, “lit”, and “rad” come to mind.

The wrap dress became a symbol of independence and confidence for women around the world. Over the next several decades, Von Furstenberg built a fashion empire, spreading her creative spirit to more than just fashion, including her fight for women’s rights and empowerment.
