Weather in Spokane

A strong area of low pressure will move in off the Oregon coastline, working its way inland, picking up winds and ushering in unsettled and cooler conditions for the weekend. We are watching for a gust front to develop by Friday afternoon for the southern basin, with brief wind gusts of 30-50mph and then weakening to 25-35 mph as the front moves north. The National Weather Service has issued a blowing dust advisory for 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. for hazardous driving conditions and limited visibilities for Spokane, Waterville Plateau, upper Columbia Basin, Palouse and Garfield and Asotin counties. Showers will be scattered for the valleys, with the east slopes of the Cascades seeing significant rain Friday and Saturday. Daytime highs will dip into the upper 60s and low to mid 70s for the weekend.
