Infoboxes
[edit]InFrench Wikipedia(Q8447),I develop some infoboxes which relies on wikidata such asw:fr:Modèle:Infobox Jeu de données,w:fr:Modèle:Infobox Discipline,w:fr:Modèle:Infobox Concept socio-fiscal,w:fr:Modèle:Infobox Politique publique,w:fr:Modèle:Infobox Méthode scientifique,etc.
Notebooks
[edit]I like to explore wikidata with some notebooks.
I have written notebooks using wiki pages:User:PAC2/Ministres,User:PAC2/Portrait d'un prénom,User:PAC2/EconomisteandWikidata:WikiProject France/Administrations,User:PAC2/Tintindata,User:PAC2/Tour de France,User:PAC2/Gender diversity.
I also like to use Jupyter notebooks withWikidata:PAWS.This allows to write SPARQL notebooks (seeexample) or R notebooks.
I also use Observablehq to explore Wikidata using notebooks:
Item documentation and generic queries templates
[edit]Wikidata has subject-predicate-object model. Yet, Q item pages only show statements where the Q item is subject. The most interesting part of the data: statements which have the Q item as an object are hidden. SPARQL queries make them discoverable. However, SPARQL queries are really hard to write (even with some experience). Therefore I believe that there is a lot of value to develop generic SPARQL queries for each kind of item. So far, I've written some generic queries templates:{{Notebook Given name}}
,{{TP administrative area}}
,{{TP organization}}
,{{TP award}}
,{{Generic queries for occupations}}
,{{Generic queries for genre}}
,{{Generic queries for filmmakers}}
,{{Generic queries for actors}}
,{{Generic queries for fictional characters}}
,{{Generic queries for musicians}}
,{{Generic queries for authors}}
,{{Generic queries for positions}}
,{{Generic queries for elections}}
,and{{Generic queries for humans}}
.Those templates are embedded in{{Item documentation}}
,a documentation template which is automatically added to every talk page of an item viaMediaWiki:Talkpageheader.

Gender diversity
[edit]I develop tools to measure gender diversity in Wikipedia articles using Wikidata:
I've also developed a tool which compute gender statistics at the user level:
Gender neutral labels
[edit]I'm concerned that Wikidata (at least in French) use male as a default gender and I think it would be important to usegender-inclusive languagein Wikidata. I'm happy that we have collectively decided to use gender neutral labels for properties in French (Wikidata:Requests for comment/How to avoid to use male form as a generic form in property labels in French?).

Documented queries
[edit]I believe that we should write better documentation for queries. See my proposalUser:PAC2/Documented queriesandWikidata:Requests for comment/Documented and featured SPARQL queries.
SPARQL queries dataset
[edit]Writing SPARQL queries is a hard job. I collect SPARQL queries shared in the weekly newsletter and other editorial spaces in Wikidata to create the SPARQL queries dataset. This dataset makes it easy to search queries and find how other peoples write queries. For instance, you can look at all queries usingapplies to jurisdiction(P1001)or all queries usingdefaultView:Graph.
