Since 用来说明动作起始时间，for用来说明动作延续时间长度。例如：

I have lived here for more than twenty years.我住在这儿二十多年了。

I have lived here since I was born. 我从出生起就住在这儿了。

注意：并非有for 作为时间状语的句子都用现在完成时。

I worked here for more than twenty years. （我现在已不在这里工作。）

I have worked here for many years.（现在我仍在这里工作。）

注意：用句型转换的方法，很容易排除非延续动词在有for/since结构的完成时中的误用。

1.TGIF

= Thank God It’s Friday! 的缩写

2.Aloha Friday / Casual Friday / dress-down Friday

欧美国家的公司习惯在星期五时放宽员工的服装规定，在这天员工可以穿得较为轻松地来上班，方便下班可以直接去聚餐放松或进行其他活动。

3.Friday the 13th

黑色星期五，若一周的星期五刚好是该月的十三号，西方国家会倾向于将这天与不幸、坏运气做连结。

4.Freaky Friday

2003年的一部电影《辣妈辣妹》，描述一对母女交换身体的故事。
