My Ideal Job

People with different personalities, backgrounds and interests will have different opinions on what an ideal job is. To choose an ideal job and prepare for it is a long way for everybody.

For me, my ideal job position would be in arts management. Im quite interested in music but Id like to broaden my perspective a bit. I would like to work in a company concerning arts and having wide room for my development, i envision working in the city, but probably in a city that has lots of green and open spaces. I need to be able to reach the mountains in a couple of hours, so I think that the suburbs of Beijing are suitable. I would like to be professional at work. I believe my colleagues will be dedicated to their jobs and love the musical and artistic world.

Now I am a sophomore majoring in music. Ive received professional training of music, so I feel confident that after graduation I could manage and work with all of the different instrumental-ists and vocalists.

My dream job will be working in one of the biggest international accounting firm as an accountant. I want to be an accountant because I love mathematics and business so much. Also I major in finance during at my college. And being an accountant can help me to explore my knowledge of business and provide me a board range of network among the business world.

I need to do a lot in order to achieve my goal. First I have to get an undergraduate degree in accounting from college. Accountant always work in a office so I will be not too tired. And it has a good work environment. Some people think that accountant is not a good job because it can not work with other people. There are various kinds of jobs in the world, such as writing, nursing, teaching and engineering. Nevertheless, different people choose different jobs as their ideal careers. This happens mainly for the reason that everyone has his own interest.

As for me, I have made up my mind to be a teacher chiefly for three reasons. First of all, I want to teach because I like the pace of the academic calendar. Two long vacations offer an opportunity for reflection, research and writing. Secondly, I want to teach because I like the freedom to make my own mistakes, to learn my own lessons, and to stimulate myself and my students. Moreover, I have the opportunity to keep on learning. Everybody has his dream job. I also have my dream job. My dream is to work for foreign tourists as a tour guide.

Happy Life at School Bill Condon

Catherine Wang arrived in the UK in January 1999. In order to develop and extend her English language skills, she spent the first few months at Sherborne International College. Then she joined Aldenham to take a two-year‘A’level course, which will enable her to enter a British university.

Catherine found that the emphasison maths and science in China had equipped her well for two of her “A” levels----maths and physics. To challenge① her imagination, she chose art as her third subject. She said it was quite rewarding② and challenging.

Although Catherine left a little, lonely at first, she said she was very grateful for the friendliness shown to her by the teachers at Aldenham.

Catherine has found the international mix of cultures very refreshing③.As well as making friends, both boys and girls from a number of cultures, Catherine found it comforting to meet other Chinese pupils at the school.

The house facilities④include a separate girls＇ sitting room and the use of a kitchen, though, she said the school food was good.

She is a hard working pupil and values the opportunity to study in England. She hopes her results will enable her parents to be proud of her achievements. Catherine plans to study at a leading university in the UK before returning to China to work.

Summing up her time at the school, Catherine said, “I have been very happy at Aldenham and I know I will never forget the experience. I have learnt a great deal from the English culture and my English has improved enormously⑤. The school has been good at recognizing the needs of foreign students. For example, we went out as a crowd last week to celebrate the Chinese New Year. It was great.”

Our school, which was set up in 1945, lies in the south of Changchun City. It is famous in our city.

It has 24 classes. 8 classes in each grade. The number of the students and teachers adds up to over 2,000. In the front of the school stands a high classroom building, behind which is a lab buiding. We have many of our

chemistry and biology classes in it. Between them is a new library built 3 years ago. There are a large number of books there. After lunch a number of students like reading there.

The bright and dark sides of my university life

Every coin has two sides. On the one hand, I am quite satisfied with my university life. On the other hand, life in my university is not as satisfactory as what we had expected.

Here is the bright side of my university life: Firstly, Equipment of my university is advanced and teacher team is powerful. There is an advanced library that owns all kinds of books. This is the dark side of my university life: Firstly, there is only one dining room in my university. So we often need to wait in a long line, which waste much time. Everyday is always fixed cuisine types, which make our appetites depressed. Secondly, self-study room is not enough. Now we will soon take final exam. So it is difficult to find a self-study room. What’s more, network of my university is very unstable. It is difficult to search
