A dataset featuring historical materials on Japanese economic warfare in China will be published on July 7. This was announced at a press conference held by Japanese historian Seiya Matsuno, and Japan's Fuji Shuppan publisher on Saturday.

Titled "Relationship Data of Noborito Research Institute," the dataset features a large amount of historical materials related to crimes committed by the Japanese invaders against China and is an important piece of historical evidence about the special operations, such as economic warfare, conducted by the Japanese army in China.

According to Matsuno, a researcher at the International Peace Research Institute of Meiji Gakuin University in Japan, the materials show that Japanese authorities not only issued counterfeit Chinese currency in an attempt to destroy the Chinese economy, but also formulated other means to weaken China's ability to resist Japanese aggression.

The dataset took five years to compile. It was edited and narrated by Seiya Matsuno, and will be published by Fuji Shuppan publisher.
